Etna cosplay help..?
« on: April 15, 2008, 07:20:11 pm »
Okay.So i'm looking into cosplaying Etna from the Disgaea games.
Here eez a picture for people who dont know her.

Now,There are a few things i was wanting some advice on.
The wings,I can most likely attach to the back of the top.
But the tail..? I dont know what to do about it.
How to make it to where it wont droop,Or fall and get in the way.
So i'm guessing strong wire.But where to sew it onto..?
Since most likely the costume will be made out of some sort of fake leather.

And also,I was wondering if anyone knew of some boots in the same style as hers..?So i could just dye them grey and paint the design onto.I cant seem to find any.

Well, while I don't have any suggestions or ideas, I can say this: you have even more reason to go boot hunting with us! ^_^

Hmm.Well i have also seen a few people who just have it stuffed,And walk around holding it.XD
Because in a few pictures i have seen of her she is holding her tail.
But i would think it would get annoying.

And yizzerz..! More of a reason to go boot hunting..! ^o^
You sir,Are genius.xD

I saw someone who had some thin fishing line attached to it so they could move the end around with their hand
And now I'm a catgirl?

The voice of the one I love
was all I could hear as I lay broken in the darkness
My own voice faltered
My wings no longer had the strength to fly

For the boots, you could use/make some grey ones, then use either studs, or paint on the.... dots.... owo;

And you can use an old belt for the straps, getting some extra buckles from the craft store :3
You could probably attach them with some strong... glue... or.... something o_O

Of course, you can also use extra leather from the other straps on the outfit owo;

Uh. Yeah.

I saw a good pair of boots that would have worked for that, that were already shades of grey at a goodwill today =0

... Or was it Ross?

Anyway, I'm rammering, sorry ^-^;

Ha.Yeah.I have seen white boots with the buckles like that before.
And i would only have to paint the designs on.
but i have NO idea where they went.v.v

And yeah,The straps/buckles on the skirt,Since they poke out,I was thinking of putting a little bit of styrofoam or something in them to make them stick out of bit like hers.xD And just sew them onto the skirt. :3

yeah i think that also ends up looking really nice cause it moves around, and isnt just a freaky stiff or droopy tail.
