Further proof that my mom is the best mom. Today was my birthday party (my actual birthday isn't until the 4th, but that's in the middle of con so we had it early) and this was the cake she made me. We almost didn't want to eat it, but in the end we did and it was delicious.

I'm really proud of that bow. I made it out of a couple of sleeves that I tied together. The bowtie was a nice touch too I think.

I attend (or try to) Toastmasters meetings weekly. Every week there is an impromptu "Table Topics" discussion. There is the Table Topics Master that selects the topics, and then randomly picks people from the audience. You have to come up with something on the spot based off what the person gives you.

This week, because of Labor Day, the Topics Master decided to make it interesting by having us select a variation of the word "labor" at random and then use it in a story we came up with on the spot. Mine was "laboriousness".

I got up in front of everyone and described my weekend, briefly explaining what anime was. Then I mentioned my cosplay. And the fact that I was in high heels for almost 20 hours. I was able to throw in the word "laboriousness" when explaining how if anyone saw me looking like I was limping, it was because my calves were dead.

I won best Table Topics award for that week.

(Yes, that's an Ultimate Warrior t-shirt.)

While randomly discussing Pocky and the fact that there's a pocky for "Men" with another con attendee, TomtheFanboy appeared out of nowhere* and gave me an entire box of Men's Pocky. My stomach was still a little upset from something earlier in the day, so I set it aside. It was only today that I actually ate it. As you can see, it got a little warm in my truck over the weekend, melting the entire bag together resulting in Mega Pocky.

Men's Pocky is delicious. o____o

(Does he have some sort of Pocky radar? srsly.)
