I know it may be a little early to think about this, but I'm thinking way ahead from now on. I was thinking it would be cool too make a thread talking about next years cosplays and who you're thinking about being next year (since most people already know what they are cosplaying this year)
and go ahead and post this year's too if you don't know what you're going to do yet! (I know a thread for this year is already made, but I'd like to hear any cosplays)

Oh gods, planning for '09 already?  Well, I guess '09 will be whatever I don't get done for '08 (because that list is definitely long enough!), plus the handful of other ideas already gnawing at my brain.  That said ...

This Year:
- Ryuushi Risai from Juuni Kokki, because cosplay group is doing Juuni Kokki for Kumoricon.  Will I be recognised?  Probably not.  Do I care?  Nope!
- Nue from Air Gear, assuming he works out and I can get the cos up there (I'm worried about packing PVC for travel *hides*).
- Komui from D.Gray-man, because I might get killed by my group if I don't have D.Gray.  If he doesn't work out, pre-exorcist Miranda is my backup, even if I don't have that cos done either.
- Unohana Retsu from Bleach is a definite maybe this year, because I've been asked to bring her up.  We'll see how oversize my suitcase gets.  :3  Alternatively, I might bring Okita Souji from Peacemaker, because comfy cosplay is comfy.

Possibilities for 2009:
- Izumi Curtis from FMA, if my group winds up doing Hagaren (I'm tempted to do Lan Fan, but somehow the next cosplay tells me I oughtn't, because, well, spoilers)
- Ryuushi Risai from Juuni Kokki -- cover version from Tasogare no Kishi, Akatsuki no Sora.  Because I am mildly masochistic, want to see if I can make armour (just to destroy it, heh), and apparently want the make-up challenge that gangrene will be.  And because doing her anime version isn't obscure enough for me. :\
- If I go completely insane and decide to sell my soul to a single cosplay, something from Trinity Blood.  Oh, masochism.

The other two cosplays I have planned for 2009 (chibi!pirate!NEWS from the Sayaendo PV and kendo!Sanada) probably won't make it up, because they're to be done with my younger sister, and I don't think she'll be doing Kumoricon.  But that's okay -- I'm sure I'll have plenty of cosplays (and more ideas between now and then besides).

- Angeal Hewley (This would be hilariously fun, especially since my hair can already do the flippy-thing that his bangs kinda do but not really.)

- Viral's unnamed wife/mate in the background of his one scene in the AU in TTGL's ep. 26 (well that was long...)

- Minerva. (This one is more like a life dream than an actual costume I'll ever be able to make. Although, I must say that I would really love to have her shield. And her shoulder armor with the random arch with three vestigal wings.)

- FINISH LEGOLAS. I will get bracers, a quiver, a wig and boots for this guy if it maims me.

And, of course, whatever the hell I don't finish this year will get put onto this list.

It would look amazing though. I would love to see it. I just recently started cosplaying (last Kumoricon) and I am starting more difficult costumes (claw for Albel x.x).

Well, my plans keep changing as my friends' plans change, but here are my new possible cosplays for 09:
1. Buggy the Clown from One Piece - I'm 99% sure this one is happening, unless something horrible happens to the rest of my group. Which isn't likely. ^^
2. Sha Gojyo from Saiyuki - Something we planned for a while, but it depends on the monies everyone in our group has whether it happens next year or later. >>
3. Androgyny Cloud from the KHII fanfic Lanterns - This one also depends on monies, even though there's only two of us. Too bad Leon (as in KHII, not Squall from FF outfit) has a more complicated outfit. >.o
4. Storm from FFXIII - This one is Hashi's fault, but that's okay, cuz it'll be a freaking awesome costume. Even if he does look like Sasuke. In all honesty, the thing that sold this cosplay for me was the sleeves and the boots. XD;; Anywho, this one will be a little complicated for me so I'm not sure it'll happen next year or later. We'll see. >>

So that's 09. Now for cosplays that most likely won't happen next year, but WILL happen. Hopefully soon. X3
1. Shou Minamimoto from The World Ends With You/Subarashiki Kono Sekai - I love math, and Shou's outfit is AWESOME. Those are my reasons. XD (I totally did some crazy proofs today when I was bored. Math love for t3h WIN)
2. Vegeta - This one is from a mix of... four fandoms, so I'm just not gonna list them. XD Anyway, this one will be easy, but the rest of the group requires a Scrooge McDuck and DLouie, so it may not happen for a while. (if you know what I'm talking about, you win three internetz)
3. Miyavi from Kabuki Rock (current) - If you don't know, this cosplay requires a very long mohawk. Which I will have. And it will be epic. The problem: there are several cosplays that require long hair that I want to do before I cut my hair. And one of those is Vampire Hunter D. Which is friggin complicated. So I have no idea when Miyavi will happen. ;o;

There are zillions more that I'd love to do and probably will, but these are the ones I really really REALLY want to do. Yah. Yay for too many good charas and not enough time/money to do them all. XD

But I am working on my Soul Eater Evans cosplay because I'm going as him to SakuraCon! (and I dont do wigs so I'm chopping my hair off and dying it white... Yes I know I'm pretty odd for wanting to dye my hair white but whatever!

Unohana Retsu from Bleach - if there's enough motivation (people poking at me :3 )
Miranda Lotto from D.Gray-man (see above; likely unless family loses interest) - I don't see myself making her exorcist outfit, though I'll probably try to have her shawl for next year -- it was a little chilly this time around!
Kaya Syokka from Trinity Blood - one of my two big cosplays planned for next year; considering the work going into it, hell yes I'm going to try to wear it as much as possible!
Ryuushi Risai from Juuni Kokki/Twelve Kingdoms - had the formals this year, working on the Tasogare no Kishi novel cover for next year; this is the other big cosplay I want to do, but slightly less portable than Toribla, so I'm not sure I'll bring that up -- but formals for sure at least, even if I don't think anyone but one person outside my group recognised me this year
Izumi Curtis from FMA - not nearly as fun without my sister's Ed (we're planning it for Fanime next year), but if Seattle!sibs do Hagaren, I'll humour them ;P

There's been vague muttering about Girl Genius/steampunk cosplay, which I'm kind of toying with just for kicks, but I'm not sure if that's Sakuracon or Kcon or both.  But as of now, them's the plans.
