Yeah. Getting laid off is way better than being fired. At least I got a couple thousand in severance pay and I can go on unemployment until I find something new.

sad for you but glad it is laid off and not fired, cuz severance+unemployment is nice

kendo boyfriend especaly feels your pain, his work is going to lay him off (fredmyers is moving chris's (payroll) department to Kansas) once they figure out how they want to do things..so he dosent really know when the ax is gonna fall, the longer it takes the better cuz each year he's worked there adds to it (and i like the freddys discount he gets

anywho, I hope you get a new job that makes good money and is more rewarding then your last job, somthing fun and intersting

Yikes, I wish I could help, I don't think my work will be doing any hiring until next year though

I've tried to hook people up with jobs but haven't been able to help anyone yet.

Well, I do get unemployment, my previous employer gave me a few thousand in severance - but not over nine thousand

and I have enough savings to live for a very long time. It does up the anxiety level though. Fortunately, prozac is cheap!

I'm kinda going to be out of a job, i graduate on the 14th of june with a degree in psychology and a minor in japanese....time to grow up and ggg et a job
does this mean i need to turn in my invader zim stuff

I'm sure pie might have some more recient advice, but Jaz if I were you I'd be tweaking the resume with more bling and checking oregonlive / craigslist etc for places to send/fax/email resume to.
