Kcon Lite Saint Cupcake Meetup info!!!

Okay well Eve and I decided to create a separate thread purely for organizational purposes (it was getting too confusing in the original Kcon Lite thread). Right now, we need to decide on a CONCRETE meeting time, a meeting place, transportation issues, and a headcount.

Time: 3:30 pm (tentative)

Meeting place: I'm not too familiar with PSU's campus, so any ideas? (Rodney? You know the campus lol)

Transportation:

Option A) Taking public transportation is an option, but a highly unlikely one considering some of you will be cosplaying (and no one wants to spend 18 minutes walking to the place AFTER we get off the streetcar, I'm sure). This is what it would look like if we were to take public transportation:

   1. Walk 0.12 mile northwest from Portland State University (SW Broadway & SW Montgomery St) to SW Park & Mill (Stop ID 10766)
   2. 3:42 p.m. Board Portland Streetcar to Good Sam Hospital
   3. 3:53 p.m. Get off at NW 10th & Glisan
   4. Walk 0.4 mile west to 407 NW 17th Ave

Travel time: 28 minutes (including 17 minutes walking)

Fares: This trip is within Fareless Square, so no fare is required.

Option B) Carpooling! This is the most efficient and probable option we have, so we need to know who's going who can drive...please tell us if you can! We don't have any volunteers yet D':

Headcount: In the case that we need to carpool, it would be nice to know who's going

Well, as for a meeting place, the Park Blocks side of the Smith Center Building (where Kcon Lite is held) seems to be a perfect spot. If we are taking the streetcar then this side would prove most logical, because it is in clear view of the streetcar stop. And if we decide to caravan it (different drivers), then this spot would still work. Unless the drivers park in different garages and spots, then we may need to figure something else out. But, in general, the PSU campus is very condensed. Nothing we could need (outside of St. Cupcake, of course) is more than two blocks from the Smith Center building. But, anyway, let's see what people recommend first.

About 70% sure I'm coming, and if I do, 50% public transportation. I don't know if we have any room in our car for carpooling.....If the other 50% does happen.

I'm taking the train down there, so I don't exactly have convenient transportation outside of a carpool. But I can help for gas, if it becomes a problem.

Going to saint cupcake would be kind of a problem for me actually. I'm probably gonna get there before then, and I'd probably get lost alone so if anyone meets up with me at like 2:00 or something, I'll just hang with them and go places... I'm bad at things like this. XD

I can fit 4 in my car with seatbelts. Keep in mind I am already reserving my spot (driver) totemo, possibly you, and I can take another. If we take someone really skinny I can fit a fifth in an uncomfortable bitch seat in the back.

I had been hanging outside of the conspace for several hours already and felt like I should go back and do something, lol. The group went to St. Cupcake and the Pearl while I hung back. That and I had already had a cupcake, and had no moneys, heh.
