No, they have gone remake crazy.
For example: Hellraiser, an awesome movie that came out in the late 80's. It was, for its time, what I would consider revolutionary, and it tells a story and plot through visual atmosphere that most movies still cannot match. This movie, of all movies, is set to be released, remade, this fall. It strikes me odd, and I cannot get my mind around how they'd go about remaking it. I am absolutely smitten with the original. It's brilliant, and I find no fault or place for improvement. So yeah, remake happy, hollywood is.
