I've gotten pierced for the cosplay, might as well shave too even though I put the outfit on when it was all together and it sucked. but I won't save until the second day. maybe i won't shave. I dunno. those mana potions are really small, and you have to be over 18 to buy them.

Those mana potions are elusive. Kahlan and I have checked both the Lloyd Center Hot Topic and the Fry's in Wilsonville and neither place had them. I need my MANA!!!

Well, I'm pretty torn this year. Last year I was just Barret Wallace and thus, I could keep my beard. This year though I am cosplaying a guy with stubble (Barret) and a guy with no facial hair (Azul). So I have to find some compromising middle ground. Either way though, my beard is gonna have to go. It's okay though, it grows back fast enough, and who said change had to be a bad thing? I'll be glad to have a bare chin for once in my life, lol.

I found it at clakamas hottopic....when I was taking something back at washington square I didn't see them either

That would be cool. At sakuracon I saw a FF7 potion that was in this really cool glass bottle and it came with an art book or something for $100 but when I went back to get it it was gone v.v......that is what I am looking for at Kumoricon

Ooh, I think I may have seen that. They released a Crisis Core version of the Potion/bottle last year and it is uber-limited edition and spendy, but looks awesome. The bottle of the one I saw was not the typical potion bottle (like the Mana Potions), it was more hourglass-like, sorta, heh. But if I saw that at Kumoricon this year, I'd brawl to the death for it, haha.

personaly this is my third year but im saying im losing my con virginty this time cause this is the first year i get to attend all three days, and get the whole effect by being aloud to cossplay this time xD

>.< lucky you. first year i only went the first day and met the bangbang neko group, who made it pretty fun for me as my first con experience.

last year was two days of the con, second and third....

and this year im staying in the hotel, cossplaying for the first time, and going all three days xD im exited.

So I realized today that cutting through .060" plastic sheeting with regular scissors is strenuous work. Whew! My hands got their dexterity training today, boy howdy, lol.

Yeeeah, I'm hoping it works out for you. I'm sure as long as you sharpened up your scissors you shouldn't have any problems. It'll work really well for your arm-guard section of your sleeve, but with the claws you'll probably have to make sure you make very careful cuts. It should work really well though, it's uber-sturdy.

Yeah, that's a good idea. More than that, the thing you have to be careful with that thickness of sheeting is that it has the tendency to crack and break if creased or even bent too much. It's too thick to have much flexibility to it. Like, it will bend just fine, it can take bending, but when the bend becomes a crease it will most likely crack. So, just be careful and keep that in mind.

I will only bend it to the curve of my arm. The sharp edges are going to be three pieces cut and glued together to make the fingers.

So I got my paint today, and you know what I'm gonna be doing tomorrow? Tagging the walls of my lungs.....well, I may as well be with all the paint I will be around, lol. Nah, I'm smarter than that, but I will be doing a serious amount of spray painting tomorrow. It will be fun, a massive chunk of stuff to get out of the way.
