Anyone here cosplaying from Higurashi? I just finished gathering my Sonozaki Shion outfit.

I found a wig on ebay a few minutes ago for 19 dollars and its *perfect*. Long and silky and nice. :3 I feel so lucky. All the other sites I checked that had long green wigs were around 40 dollars.

I also have a friend that might be going as Rena. She can do the maniacal laugh so well it's creepy. <3

So...should I be on the lookout for anyone else? Keiichi? Satoko? Satoshi kun?

I WANT TOO! Not for this convention though. At sakuracon I plan to go as Mion.

I love Hiurashi! This is kind of a possibility for me, but I'm already way in over my head on cosplay stuff I need to make, so I'll probably wait until next year (or maybe Sakura-con) as well.

Kexita, did you buy your Higurashi costume, or did you make it? If you bought it I'm curious to know where you got it

I wanna go as Satoko, but I have to many planned already!
I'll go next year as Satoko and make the sword out of crafting foam XD

I don't think i can get anything in time for a Higurashi cosplay.

I like the scene where there's the fight in the Junkyard. Now, being strangled then slicing the person's leg open with a shard of glass? Epic. XD

Yay for Higurashi cosplayers. It's my favorite anime so I hope you all honor it will. And I'll about die if anyone cosplays as Hanyuu.

Probably one of the creepiest scenes in the anime. And it's Rika not Rena d: Rena is the orange haired girl with machete.

It's too bad I wasn't able to bring that knife with me to the con to recreate that *was Rika last year at Kumoricon*

We had tons of fun doing Higurashi last year, and I'm sure you guys will too.

I think one of my favorite scenes was when shion started laughing insanely, stabbed keiichi, and started going about how she "did it!", how she killed everyone. Im thinking i should learn that line in japanese...-3-

Dude, I will be so excited to see Higurashi people again this year.
I went as Mion & Shion (school uniform) last year and FUN TIEMZ DID HAVE.
My love for Takano has had me considering doing her this year, but alas, I have like, 20 cosplay ideas rolling through my head, and friends wanting me to be part of their groups...this is clearly no time to play dress-up!!!

But you can bet I will be saying "wassup" or possibly requesting that you fill me in on the 411, chill, to any Higurashi people I see.
I will try not to take you home.

so very exciting. my costume is just about done. I even managed to comb out the wig! dear god! it took hours, i swear! all i wanted to do was tie some of it up and it went BOOM. my god.

@ Sugarlat: Insane people, that's who. but then again, it was a fitting way for that arc to end me thinks.

@ Sedah: Awww, you can't be keiichi for even a few hours? We could play some club games...*cackles insanely*

I'm actually still considering it at this moment! One of my other costumes might not work out so well...I'll hopefully know for sure within a week or two... running out of time to plan!! ^^;

Because I remember seeing a Sai that year and I was all "YEEES." because he was fairly new and very cool and I don't remember any others, so it was probably you.

I gave the Sai a marker to write on the graffiti van.
I want another graffiti van one of these years. *forlorn siiiiigh*
I was actually hoping I'd see a Sai or two or several last year, considering he'd been around longer by then, but I don't recall seeing any. Mystery...
I still want to see a dang Karin, Suigetsu or Juugo. Where are my homedawgs, ya gotta represent!! Cuz I considered doing some of those characters but now I won't so if I see no Sais or the aforementioned homedawgs there is something wrong with the Naruto fanbase.

Oh, hey, the manga's coming out here now. Pick up a copy of Yen Press's Yen Plus publication, kids. <3 Look for the first volume in November.
I am overwhelmed when I go into Kinokuniya and see just how much Higurashi manga is available in Japan now! I clearly have to learn Japanese faster. XD
Also, look forward to being able to purchase the fourth DVD in September, and FINALLY, the subsequent DVDs soon after. Thank you, Funimation!

Lol I'm planning to do a Higurashi cosplay next year. Me and 2 friends are goin as a group, so one of my friends is gonna be Hanyuu, my other friend is gonna be rena, and I'm prolly gonna wear the maid outfit
