XD Apparently not. Anyway....On my progress.....Itachi: 80% [No legwarmers or shoes. >.<] Konan: 68% [No legwarmers, shoes, or flower....DX], Punk Sakura: 70% [I'm going to buy some random stuff from Hot Topic. XD] L: 95% [I would LIKE to get a wig, but it's not necessary, so I just put 95]. Also...Does anyone know where to get wig heads?

Hm? It's only four? XD o.o I TRIED PAPER FLOWERS! XD I failed. And, Konan and Itachi are essentially the same. XD Except for the hair. And gender. XD But, I don't think I'll be able to get a wig for Konan, so I'm going to just say, "SCREW IT" and use my own hair. XD

I'm sure KOSMOS will get something just because of the sheer size; each weapon is about four of the costumes in size. XDD

Albel is about 99% complete. I just contacts for him (which I am not sure if I am going to get or not). As for Temari, it's about 80%. I have everything I need but I want to remake the belt and I am hoping that I can borrow someones shoes.

Hmmm I'm about 75% done with Tsuna's jumpsuit (still have to make one more for Spanner :S~) I'm going to try to finish all of it (but the buttons) today. And maybe have Spanners finished by the end of this weekend? Maybe not... hahaha, by the end of next week at least :D
Here it is at its current state http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/3294/jumpnq4.jpg  it still needs leg pockets, butt pockets, belt loops, and the front closer :D

Then after Im done with those's I'll probablly start on Mytho, then Tsukasa sometime in August? Im going to try to make Mythos sword :D

Besides all the sewing Im going to try and jazz up my already make costumes. I'll finally get the earings for Howl, and maybe make some cool prop for Neuro?

hahaha I have way too many costumes planned ;___; luckily most of them are already made! haha...

with my micaiah i dunno if i should
1) paint on the design
2) draw/shapie
3) sew on over the original fabric
4) cut out the design on the out fit then sew the black fabric in

What type of fabric are you using? Personally I would paint it, but dont forget to sketch of it with a fabric marking pencil first. you dont want to end up ruining the fabric.

If you did it well, it'd look best if you sewed the design over the dress.  Cutting out the design sounds hard unless you really knew what you were doing and used a lot of fabric glue to keep the seams from fraying, and I don't know how that much glue would look.

Like the other person asked, what kind of fabric are you using?

I would say 3 or 4. 3 would be easier and it would still look very good I think with enough time and with skills the 4 would be the best. Either one will look good though. I would be afraid that the paint would have too much of a paint look were the others would look more natural.

Considering I have pretty much no percentages for my costumes, I'd say I'm set.  ;) But, just for the heck of it.

Kakashi: As much as I feel like working on it. lol
PUNK Kakashi: Acutally doing pretty good. 80%
Secret: Like...10%?
No Face: Pretty much 100%, all I need are some gold candies to offer to little children.  ;)

the micaiah response:

1-the drawn on with pencil prior was a givin
2-paint would be fabric paint, i'd have to buy it and buy a brush.
3-the fabric is a think fabric. the type i'm not to sure of for i got it with alot of other fabric free from a clothing designer but its a thinker fabric. its feel is like a soft slightly thinner jean
4- i would never glue fabric on my fabric it's look bad. (me and glue don't get along)
the trick to prevent freying is tunkin the ends over then sewing on.
5- ...........

2- Fabric paint works better with thicker fabrics, I think... It looks a bit less painted and more of a design.  While fabric paint is paint, it is pretty flexible, and it may look nice if you know how to use it.  Not so much if it's your first time.  I consider myself decently good with fabric paint.  I paint shoes, and the most recent pair I did was perfect.  One shoe had a sun in the front, and I guess I accidentally brushed it and left a bit of a smuch where I was hoping for a clean circle.  This will ALWAYS be a potential problem with fabric paint, no matter how good you are though.  Keep that in mind.  The last thing you want to go is be putting on your finishing touches to a dress you've worked so hard on, only to have the paint smudge, ruining the design AND ruining the dress.

4- No, they're a kind of glue that's MADE for fabric.  I've never used it before but I've heard it's good for small designs, like this.  Sewing the design on or in this case gluing it would probably work best.
The problem with trying to put the black under it is that FIRST you have to cut out curved designs that don't come straight from the outside.  THEN you have to sew the frayed ends underneath so it'll look nice...Did I mention they're curved, and not coming from the edges?  To get a nice looking seam over a curved area means you'll have to be cutting the fabric underneath it... Which just makes more fraying.  And if you somehow manage that, it'll look angular and wonky close up.  Trust me on this, putting the pieces over the dress will give you the best results and will be a lot easier than adding the black underneath.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you're sewing black underneath, there'll be stitching on the front in plain view unless you hide it under the belt, which might show up in pictures or up close.  Puckering fabric near your crotch is also definitely uncool.

And if the front of the skirt isn't too tight, the black will be visible, and will attract more heat... And although Portland weather isn't too sunny now, previous K-cons haven't exactly been known for their cool, breezy weather.

I hope this helped a bit.

I still think fabric paint would be the best bet :D Because the design is so intricate, appliques would be quite tricky (at least they are for me haha..). I know that drawing prior was pretty obvious, but I didnt know your skill level so I wanted to make sure... Sorry if it seemed condescending or something  >o< Anyway good luck with your costume :D!

You can get wig heads from Sally Beauty Supply - I got two of my three there.  The third was a lucky day at the thrift store.

Misa:
Just have to do some zippers, hemming, and nail in the overall clasp buttons.
So about 85%

Mana:
In purgatory  ;-;  I really need to start working, I just need a heat gun for my fosshape first.  And some chicken wire or something to shape it on.
Ordered the wig, hasn't been shipped yet as far as I know.  Then again, my fosshape came without a shipping notification, so...
Still at about 30%.

Dark Magician Girl [doll's costume]
Got the fabric and fosshape to do it, just have to get my friend to help draft the pattern and I'm on my way.
Need to make her magic staff out of Sculpey, too.
15%

Magic Staff for Koyori Kokubunji [commission]
Have everything, just need that heat gun and I'm set.

How I'll do all this in less than two months is a mystery, but I'll find a way.

So! I'm planning on being a Final Fantasy Inventory, with a big Sack o' Items an' all that; it's gonna be pretty cool or pretty lame. HOWEVER, I have nooo idea how I would neatly make a cardboard sign that has the menu on it with inventory/items selected. White lettering on blue background is hard! How should I go about this, Help Thread?

Well, I will keep your idea in mind and try to brainstorm something awesome, but I have to say, that sounds like one of the coolest ideas I've heard. I'd be so excited to cross paths with you during the con (because I am all about the Final Fantasy cosplays, and am going to be Barret Wallace). And you must be there for the FF mock battle (if we do it this year, hopefully we will). Anyway, yeah, it sounds kinda tough, but it would be super awesome if you pulled it off. So I'll try to rack my brain and come back, heh. Best of luck, though!

White lettering on blue background is hard! How should I go about this, Help Thread?
Why is it hard? o.o

You could paint the sign blue, then paint white letters; or paint the sign white, then paint blue around outlined letters; or paint the sign blue and use white letter stickers.
