What is your opinion of the cast?

The Tres Iquis fangirl in me loves Christopher R. Sabat. The rest of me loves Mike McFarland, Aaron Dismuke and Travis Willingham. Vic... Not so much so.

When does the ouran dub come out?  Will it be on tv?

I don't know whether or not it's going to air on tv but the dvd comes out Oct. 28...

Personally, I never really thought of vic as tamaki but he's a good voice actor... so I trust it.
The others seem good, as well.
Well, the ones I can recognize, anyway.

Vic's been aiming for Tamaki for some time, but I'm unsure if he'll be able to pull it off =/

His cracky voice doesn't really suit the bold and dramatic Tamaki, IMO D:

Honestly, the only person in the cast I completely agree with is Mike McFarland as Ranka.  He was Ritsu in Fruits Basket, who is a similar character.  8D

I mean, I like that Ouran's coming over here, but I wish there was a better cast.

@ Hazuza - Agreed.  I just don't think he can make that flamboyantly crazy voice that Tamaki has.

Vic =/= Tamaki

He should have been cast as one of the twins, or someone of that sort. I know he loves Ouran and whatnot, but if he really loved Ouran he'd want the VA's to be perfecto. Can anyone think of a single role of Vic's where he sounds remotely Tamaki-ish? 

As for the rest... they're ok. I've already seen it subbed so I'll watch the dub for kicks. I know that Caitlin is putting a lot of effort into this, and all the VA's are, at the very least, extremely pumped up about Ouran. So let's hold our judgement until it actually comes out 

As for TV, probably no. Since it's a shoujo it has virtually -3% chances. Who would take it? Scifi? AS? Nein on each front unfortunately, but at least we have 13 episode box-sets + commentaries + outtakes to keep us happy

I'll watch it and determine if I like it from there. Hey could anyone ever thing that Heath Leger would be a good Joker? You never know till it comes out. I am going to stay optimistic. ^_^

Nice attitude! We should all keep in mind that Caitlin is putting forth as much effort as she could possibly exert. I'm sure we'll end up with a quality product, Vic braying aside

I'm pumped up too. The wait has been way too long, and arduous. Since Funi nabbed Ouran I've forbidden myself from re-watching Ouran, because I want to relive my first moments of watching it all over again. The waitwill so be worth it

Never said I wouldn't watch some episodes to see if I like it or not~  I'm just not looking forward to most of the cast - it's pretty much FMA in a school.
They're talented people, I'm just not sure they'd fit the atmosphere in Ouran, if I'm making sense.

And I know, pictures were seen and it was epic.  xD

I also am a bit perturbed about 90% of the FMA cast coming into Ouran. I was kind of hoping that they'd get a noobie to do Haruhi, I mean Caitlin is great but I see her as a much better fit to Renge

I'm not too excited about it; I really can't imagine Vic as Tamaki, but who knows.

I'm definitely going to get it anyway, and I'm definitely going to watch the dub anyway just for kicks. I mean, if it comes with it, why not?

Funi already announced it's release method: half-season box sets, each containing 13 episodes. Extras so far are commentaries and outtakes. I'm sure there is more good stuff beyond the horizon

I think the dub cast looks pretty good and the fact that funimation is doing it is sweet.

I'm totally buying all the DVD'S that come out even if I already watched the entire anime in japansese.

this is one the few animes that i keep on the lap top so i can watch it when ever i want, i just hook it uo to the tv and presto, even in japanese great back ground noise to sew to
i love the japanese voicese so much that even tho it sounds like a great english castits going to be hard to compeat

After I had watched Ouran one single time, I vowed to not watch it again until it came out on dvd... it's been pretty brutal.

Ohhh, interesting voice actors. Although I may be a bit annoyed at hearing a LOT of familiar voices, I think the Dub will be pretty good! I'm just trying to think of how Haruhi's voice is going to be. I'm guessing either really good,  or really bad. >.>
