bad news......turned into good news

my friends dad [who was supposed to drive us] was arrested last night for DUI
we all started freaking out, but thankfully they didn't cancel the hotel rooms, and after a talk with my mom
she agreed to take us =]
I almost DIED!
I swear!
we were all so upset, but now we feel much better.
thankfully kumoricon is labor day weekend, so it won't interfere with my mom's [possibly] new job

now I reallllllyy can't wait

no, he was the only one who could drive us really.
all of our other parents are wayy too strict andnot as care-free as he is.
 but next year we will be able to drive ourselves to convention because my friend will have her license!
so I'm just going to save up my money and get some really good cosplays for next year.
this covention was a little last-minute for me anyways.
so my costume wasn't that great.

thinking about going to comic-con next year, so that'll be fun.

OMG!! I'M SO HAPPY NOW!
my friend didn't cancel the hotel reservation, and my mom said she would be able to take us since it would be labor day weekend and she won't have to work!!

we don't have a car that will fit all 5 of us comfortably, but we could use our friend's van [the one we had originally planned on taking] as long as we get a written permission form/slip thing.

I'm glad to hear that. One of my friend and her bother and sister live around the California border and they are coming up for the con. I am letting them stay at my house for that weekend so they don't have to get a hotel and they also have a ride (me ^_^). I am working on trying to get someone else with a car to stay with me so the group that wants to leave late can, I want to be at the con about 8 every morning *is a morning person*

It's still in Oregon though. They live around Medford.....I think I don't know.....it might actually be Grants Pass. I think that is where they are from.
