Well, I came, and did enjoy chatting with people, but I have to say it wasn't much of a "picnic"...
"Dark Link" and I arrived about 15 minutes after the pizza did, and by that time every slice was gone, so we basically didn't get any lunch. The rest of the food was all sweet junk food, and I didn't feel like going to Quizno's alone in costume. Nobody brought any picnic blankets or was sitting around relaxing (the lawn we were on 60% devoid of grass, though, so I can understand not wanting to sit down on the bare dirt).
Anyway, it was basically just a photo shoot and cosplay chess (on a very small board) in the park. I suppose I would've been more satisfied if I'd known beforehand that that was what it was going to be. I brought "Apples to Apples: KumoriCon Edition" with me, for instance, but we didn't have anywhere we could have played it.
Oh well. Thanks for organizing it. There was certainly a great turnout, and the cosplay trip to Spaghetti Factory afterwards with Bang Bang Neko was pretty fun.
