Hey, Sayda and I had a great idea, with some of the carwash money, why don't we plan a beach trip in september? it seems like a fun idea to do, and a better use of the money rather than feeding people who can just bring their own food

I was thinking that, too, as Kona pointed out. If we're going to do a carwash, then to make it fair we would either have to split the cost between everyone who showed, or put it towards something we could all do, rather then feed the kids that aren't able to eat out. No offense to anyone, but if you can't afford to eat out, then you should bring your own food that can be heated up or refridgerated.

Spleen and I are going to church before this, and we're leaving there about 10:45. Unless you guys want us to leave after communion, then we'd still be there after 10:30, probably about 11.

The beach is really nice, and it'll really be nice in September. We could rent a hotel, or get a couple tents together and go camping, Steven and I know a really good place to camp out, they helped us out a year ago when our KOA Camp scolded us for boys and girls staying in the same tent, and then ended up telling us our tent was 'too big' to stay there.
The people we found let us stay in the RV section, since there was a Hippie Fest going on in the Camp Grounds, it was really fun.

Well, I like hotels because I am not very fond of sand.....I know, odd thing to be wary of, but still. I can only be around sand for....maybe fifteen minutes before I get grossed out and itchy, lol. So, I would go with a room if the option was there.

ok when I said go out to eat I meant right after the car wash not during the con. It would be the people who participated in the car wash that would get to have dinner. But I like the beach idea too, that is if we don't get enough money for the rink. And I have a feeling that camping at the beach is going to be more than $260.

Also good news I traded shifts with someone at work so I don't have to be there till 5 ^_^ I'll be at the car wash. I didn't make a sign though so I hope that is ok. I'll see everyone at 10:30 ^_^

I thought the money was goin to cosplay on ice. Suddenly talking about the beach. We can raise money for somthin like that next year. Not meaning to be rude but some of what is being said is confusing me.

And we are doing the things she wants. She wanted to have it during the con. The money we are raising for the rink is for the ice skating after the con, the one that she isn't sure if she can go to or not.

Myself and Itachi (Saya-chan) were thinking it would be fun to go out to sushi at Fuji's in sherwood (right by tualitin) after we were done with the carwash, we went there today and their sushi was DELICIOUS!

So, is the plan still for us all to meet up early to set up and such? (like around 10:30ish?)

I said that I might not be able to go, because I have a bunch of panel stuff that I am required to go to... A friend of the family has requested my help for the panel he is running. As for the one /after/ Con... I didn't think I would be able to attend because of my /mother/.... I apologize for being such an inconvenience...
OH just so you all know...

We /will/ be going to the car wash, a very good friend is taking us. I will be in colsplay, but I will be unable to wash cars...As my cosplay has a white shirt and my hair bleeds color when wet. It is my /last/ dress-shirt that works for my Turk Cosplay... -shrugs shoulders back a little-.... I guess I can just help with other stuff.

Also on the comment about people bringing food with them, or eating out. It's kind of ... no offense, but rude to assume that everyone would have the funds or supplies to bring food from home. Myself, Sora, and Inu... all are on a pretty low budget at our house, my moms been putting off paying RENT to buy food... and still things are getting pretty slim. It would be pretty bad for us to drag food with us(That the kids could eat)... When its needed at home... Not like there really is anything thats travelable anyways. Almost everything in out house is meal aligned, not singular snack or one person aligned... -sighs-....

Awesome, Itachi and I will see you in the morning, maybe if we meet infront of haggens since that is where we are doing the wash, plus ;P cosplayers shouldn't be hard to miss ^^

Wait wait wait WAAAIITTTASECBEEZY'S. We're doing this carwash to pay for poor people's food? Whaaat? Instead of buying merchandise, try food. Also, top ramen is very cheap, I know you kids like that. And I'm pretty sure they have hot water at the hotel, I know at Sakuracon we had a hot water maker.

Skates are three dollars beezy's. If you do the math, 26 people together is only 10 dollars a person to rent the rink. I'm not bustin' my hump for something you kids wanna do.
But really, skating for free sounds a lot cheaper than paying 260$ an HOUR, when you can skate for however long you want for 3$. Plus, everyone's going to be tired by the end of con. Putting the money toward something more worthwhile then an hour of skating on ice would seem like a more intelligent idea.
If you think about it, and be mature about this kids, the idea of raising this money for an hour to skate while we're out in hot weather for half the day twice isn't the best plan. :-O

I definitely see your point, Sayda. Heck, I'm in the same boat. I never planned to go ice skating with this, I just wanted to help out with this thing for a bit. But it does seem like there are better ways to put the money to use. But, since I'm not participating in the ice skating, I figure I don't really need to worry about that aspect. I'm only gonna be at the car wash for an hour or so after all. I didn't even make a sign....hmm, I'll have to figure something out for that.

Well if people really want to we can use the money for something else. So far three people wanna switch it to something else, but for now we're raising money for something cool like (doesn't actually have to be) Ice Skating, we can figure the rest out later if people really wanna change.

Sayda I keep saying this but I guess you aren't seeing it. When I suggested going out to eat I mean going out to eat the DAY OF the car wash not during the con. I mean all of us that were working hard that day took the money to a restaurant and ordered food. I never said anything about giving money to people who couldn't buy their food. One of the people who needs money suggested it. This was for the ice skating but I kind of like the idea of going to the beach so maybe this can be something to talk over once we get there.
