Back in September, me Spiffy and Vineboy made some small fliers at the library and handed them out around Pioneer Square... I was wondering, since there seem to be alotta fans on this forum, if there'd be anyone here who'd be willing to join the rest of us in giving out the fliers for the show. I haven't yet decided on a date for doing this, as I am kinda waiting on Kenston to run off the black and white handbills with Diru's pic and the street addy for the Hawthorne, I also wanna go to the library again sometime to make more copies of the smaller flier with the URL for my unofficial street team page. Any help spreading the word about the coming show would be very much appreciated, whether its telling a friend on Myspace or passing out fliers.

You may print these if you like, I will eventually be going to
Multnomah Co. Library to run off more on the Xerox machine.

Their new album, Uroboros is supposed to be better, like a throwback to their Pre-Withering to Death & Marrow of a Bone sound. The song "Glass Skin" is pretty awesome.

I totally preordered Uroboros even though I don't have a job and need money for rent lol. I ave enough for this month though so it's cool. But yeah, They're having a contest where if you preorder the new album you can win a free VIP ticket to the show of your choice, meet the band, a signed copy of the album, and a whole bunch of crap and I totally entered that lol.

I put up new fliers (that actually have their picture) in the HT's at Lloyd and Clackamas.
Oh, and outta curiosity, any of you folks heard of a crazed 45 year old fan named Missy?
This woman had a super e-flipout on me and my friends cuz of our fliering for the band, lol.
And she's threatening to come up to PDX to try and start crap to make me miss the show.

Stuff like this really makes me ashamed of this fandom sometimes.

Why would she flip out over that? It's inroducing more people to them. I think it's a good thing. Some people are just dumb...Anyways, I have an extra ticket to the show since I won two VIP tickets in the contest I mentioned above. So if anyone wants a ticket (a regular one, not a VIP one, my gf is taking the other) PM me. I'm not giving it away, but I'm a nice guy

Because she's some crazy nutjob woman in her 40's who thinks she pwnz the band because she's been a fan for 10 years and has all their albums (the s00per l33t japanaiz versions, not the amelican releases, cuz only n00bz buy the CD's from a U.S. store) and the new fans are ruining her precious band which nobody else but her is allowed to like.

She's all the way in New York, she's pretty infamous, and for mostly bad reasons.
I really don't see why she'd waste money and time to come out here just to mess
with me, but if she wants to so be it. I'm not really the fighting type though.

she's posted about on there like every other month, lawlz. You'd
know if you saw her, as she'd prolly be the only 40yo fan there.

The show was frigging AWESOME. I gave a "Portland BLEEPING Oregon" shirt from the Roxy to Nora to give to Kaoru, I hope he will wear it when they come back to Portland! Oh and they have a DVD coming out in the USA finally! Check their official myspace.

Concert was amazing! The Human Abstract sucked though. Not a big fan of them. Meeting the band was awesome too. I was such an idiot when I was backstage though...I was acting like a starstruck moron, but they're probably used to it.....I hope.....anyways....yeah, best concert I've ever been to, easily.

After all the tough talk and e-threats, she didn't even show up to the concert here in Ptown (or to her own concert in NYC supposedly, because she claims to totally hate Diru now cuz of "The New Fandom" and cuz the band won't treat her like the superior fan she is). Her posts are the one's with the sentences broken into pieces (obviously she was never taught how to use paragraphs, amirite?) and double commas or other punctuation marks put in the middle of nowhere. When I first encountered her, I thought she was just some uber posessive (and younger) foreign fan, not a 40 year old american woman. Adult illiteracy and aging fangirls with an "internet lawyer" complex make me lawl. She'll just hafta try again next year...
