CON BAND GROUP ^.^

This is a thread for all who play insturments (dont mean to be picky but please know how to play it as well).
Please post what insturment you play, songs you know, and time at con that would work to meet up. ill be back on on the 18th to make a decision on when were playing and i jus wanna have some fun ^.^ so please join in. w00t

I play the trombone and my song list follows

Morrowind intro
Mario main level theme
Mario Water level theme
Super Metroid Meridian Area
Super Metroid Norfair Area
Zelda Main Theme
Zelda Marions Song
Zelda Time song
Zelda (nes) dungeon song
Kirby Green Greens
Kirby meta knight theme
Kirby Boss Theme
kirby mine kart theme
and a few mega man songs.

I will work as hard as i can to pick up off of other peoples lists as well so we have a wide variety of songs to play.

Guitar. I know no theme songs. except mario. but once theres more people I can decide what I want to learn from a list.

I have my flute. :/ I don't really know a lot of anime songs without the sheet music. ^-^;;

As you can see, my list is pretty Narutarded. If I had the sheet music, I could probably pick up a song if it's easy. XD I've had about....three years practise...

.....I can make cool noises with my voice? and I know a lot of those songs by heart. I know all the words to the zelda theme by system of a down! :3 just throwing that out there. lol i don't even know why I'm talking now.

why dont we make make a list of like 5-10 songs of the favorites and learn them. it'd be alot easier then jut saying what we know. Mario is a classic, and im willing to learn almost anything.

thats a good idea.
Heres the list i came up with, if any disputes or just dont like it feel free to say so.

Mario Theme
Fighting Dreamers (Naruto 2nd theme song{i think})
FF7 Boss Battle : Real name is Still More Fighting
Zelda Theme
Morrowind Theme (its really really easy)
Aeriths Theme

I think that should do but if were up for it, how bout Red XIII theme. i love that one.

I play piano/synthesizers, bass and program midi.

I can play Zelda Theme.
I can play Orion 13s Theme from VII
I can play Jenovas Theme

But Its probably too late for me to get in on this and be prepared...besides...I don't want to haul my amp gear around at the con...maybe next year!

I can get to learning. And I already know Cosmo Canyons theme. lol

if this fails its all good. i did kinda do this last minute. if you would all feel more comfortable we can save this for next year and try to have it as an official event or if yall are going to sak con we can do it there too.

Aw hell lets do it anyway... if there's gonna be down-time at the con and you might as well do it playing music...I can accompany almost anything if I know the key and hear the changes a few times... but I'd prefer to do it Sunday or Monday...Saturday is gonna be a busy cosplay karaoke kind of day.

Hmmm - next year would be good... Tell you what - I'll bring my guitar and store it in my car...though the heat will screw over my tunning... if we get the chance, I'll pull out and jam, otherwise we should organize a band - like a live band and be good...like decently good. Put together a mini performance of sorts. Don't know if that's too much to ask or consider.

not at all. thats actually a really good idea, once they reset the forums for 2009 ill ask right away if we could maybe either get a spot in the live action room or the main stage area, would everyone be up for that?

I could do clarinet, though I don't know clarinet well and am much better with the oboe.

This is so great. I loved having Death of Snails performing in the lobby at the first kumoricon and we've only had random people (like the guy with the sax and Piano Squall) performing in the halls before. I'm sure we can find a perfect spot for you guys to play in the lobby areas. Not to mention your own panel event on stage.

Now we just need the Evangelion school uniform string quartet....

I played piano a bunch at the con.  If you guys ever need piano when I'm off shift, I'll gladly play along; just give me the chords and I'll rock out pretty much anything you throw at me.
