I am going to put myself out on a limb here. What classification does Sonic the Hedgehog fall into? The Silver mascot at the last KumoriCon was my daughter. Many people would place anyone in a mascot costume that isn't human as "furry". Of course Sonic and the whole Sega line of characters Tails, Rouge, Shadow, Ami, Knuckles, are anthro in nature. Also, if you want to get technical, Mickey, Donald, and Goofey. are also furry characters. I respect the artists choice to not draw furry, but I question the reason behind it. Walt Disney was basiclly the first "furry" artist. He was the one that got my wife interested in the anthropomorphic style of art. WB took over with Tom & Jerry, Hucklberry Hound, SnagglePuss, and many others. Many characters in todays cartoon industry are "furry" The Warner kids on Animaniacs, Lola Bunny, Babs and Buster, Pinky and Brain, Rescue Rangers, Tailspin, Ducktails, etc. This is the realm I am coming from. It is the realm I grew up with. A lot of "furries" feel the same way. They just like the characters and style of art. There is a whole lot of fan fiction based on these shows. It is unfortunate that the TV show CSI had to have that one episode that totally gave everyone a bad view of "furries". I see from your earlier posts that you and the artist have had your own bad relations with "furries". That is unfortunate. I have had some bad relations with anime fans. Doesn't mean I don't go to the conventions or watch anime. I just don't want to be given a label and set aside because of what someone else may have done. Rant over
