Can I bring a prop grenade launcher?

It occurs to me I should ask before I finish making. Would it be ok to make a prop weapon out of cans and cardboard of the demomans grenade launcher from TF2?

Probably as long as it is safe, you have to get it checked at the Con.

I wouldn't worry about it.  Go the extra mile and have it checked and tagged, but as long as it doesn't actually do anything and isn't going to hurt anyone its fine.

You can also bring pistols carved out of wood.

Yeah, but real weapons shouldn't be pretty anyway, lol.

So do you have a plan for how you're gonna make the weapon? Or have you thought it out much yet?

spray paint, cans, bigger cans, some cardboard, maybe a pcmcia filler and a leftover m4 buttstock.

I wish there was such an award. I always watched McGuyver before school. I was also always late to school, but it was worth it.

It seems like an award that could realistically be given. There are so many cosplayers on budgets who make amazing stuff out of common/cheap resources and materials. There are some really ingenious cosplayers out there.
