Sooo, this is a complicated story and I'm very worried.
Put into very incomplete terms: The -last- name on my badge is different than the -last- name on my ID.
I ordered my badge months back (like June?), but just today finally got the money gathered up to get my government ID renewed. Apparently, since July 1st the DMV has a new rule which states that the name on your BIRTH CERTIFICATE is the one they'll put on your ID. So they did. The problem is, my Social Security Card, my school ID, all of my mail, my bank statement and my BADGE have a different last name than the one on my birth certificate and new ID.
Why? The last name on my birth certificate and new ID is my father's last name. My father is a convicted sex offender. I have never used his name, but cannot have an official name change for a few more years.
Anyway, I am afraid of the trouble I'm going to have checking in. I have my badge, a state issued ID, and I can bring anything else you want (I'll bring my birth certificate if you want!) but I don't know what to do. Please help.

Edit: I forgot to add, I did register at K-con last year as an adult and this was never an issue. It's just because of the DMVs new policy.
