Maybe it's just me, but I feel it better to simply cosplay a character that you know, whether or not you have the same face, body type, or whatever else that a certain character has. Even if you posted a picture you may get suggestions for characters you don't even know, and if so that wont work because you wont be able to play that character very well.
Just go with a character you like and think you'd have fun cosplaying as. At least to me, cosplay isn't all about how much the person themselves look like a character (the clothing yes, personal appearance not so much because none of us look like an anime character), but rather I feel it's about dressing up as best as you can and having fun. Don't worry about if your body type is the same as a character. Just dress up and have fun.
That's just my opinion, anyway.
