Any funny cosplay storys from this years convention? Costume mishaps, funny random events happining while in costume, normies reactions, or any other story worthy things :3 post em here im curios.

heres mine...

I was wearing my blue chocobo to the mall saturday to get lunch with my friends, while we were going up the escalator chatting i saw this girl going down (who i didnt reckognize) who wips out her camera and takes a picture of me. ._. i didnt see a badge or any costume so im pretty sure she was just a person at a mall... so then we went to subway to get food and i turned around and there she was again taking another picture of me... and then in the blink of an eye she was gone! guess she musta liked my costume or somethin xD think she would have asked though

Me and a few friends got pictures taken of us while driving to a cosplay gathering a few months back. And we were on the freeway XD;;

For my random storyyyyyyy ~
When I was in the mall a gaggle of miniature akatsuki members hoarded me D8
They were about half my size and like...6 of them and they all hugged me at once
while chanting "SENPAAAAI"
It was a great lulz XD

Lol I got turned into a new bucket game where it was pass the Kurenai and people were playing Rock paper scissors for me and then leading me around on my leash, then I ended up in a big group of Silent hill cosplayers I didnt know and we wandered around and got lost like 5 blocks the wrong direction from the con, then went to safeway xD I got food, which owned then we went back to the con and I was set free
Was Uber fun, and I think another round of pass the Kurenai is in store for next year xD

When I was Yukina and just hanging out with my friends, I got surprise glomped from behind and carried a couple feet before they got pictures and more hugs with me.  xD  It made me glad I automatically curl up a little and they had a tight enough hold as to not drop me.  That would've sucked.  xD;
It was awesome and I laughed for a really long time afterwards.

Also, I was called "cute and chibi-like" a bit before that.

I had most of my fun while I was hanging out with all of the other TMoHS cosplayers.

We did Hare Hare Yukai in many random locations, we even attempted to do it on ice, where I fell on my booty

We also formed the SOS brigade and wandered around with a camera asking random people questions about supernatural lifeforms and whatnot, it was amazing XD

I thought it was funny when some random lady and her 2 daughters asked if they could get a picture with me (male Chi). They were just passing through the park apparently? I dunno if they even know what anime is. ^_^;

Haha thanks. Next year I think I'll try and go w/ some actual girly shoes. I just wasn't prepared for that kind of pain this time around. I mean, it was bad enough getting used to wearing a bra! I swear even after I took it off it felt like I was still wearing it for like another 6 hours!

- I went to the mall to get food, and this small family stops to get my photo. Her son (8 or 9 years old it looked) wants to be in the photo with me, and proceeds to put his arm around me, then is full on hugging my tummy in the photo, lol. When his mom scolded him, he said "what? she's pretty!"

- In the park, I'm talking with Kumi-chan (Ashitaka), and this old guy comes up to us and asks if I'm from the Fifth Element. I say yes. "Isn't that sci-fi? This is an anime convention." (or something along those lines). Kumi-chan explains to him that the con is much more than anime.
Then he says, "I only have adult anime on my computer. That's the kind I like."
After he walked away Kumi-chan and I were extremely creeped out. [shivers]

Of course! I <3 Chi! She's like, my most favorite evar. I even submitted my Chobits AMV to the contest this year ^_^ Didn't win, but at least it played! Yay!

I went down to the beach and saw Kiki, she was all like, "Ehhhh" and I'm like, "SAKUJYO!"

All I have to share as far as real events, though, is that I stumbled upon a cosplay group who just so happened to accept me into their skit as one of L's "fangirls." Just so you know, it was the otaku Pokémon sketch with White Ranger, Light, and L as non-canon characters.

Me, as Itachi in a box, and my friend who was L in a box (AKA we just had boxes on our head) skipped through the glomp circle holding hands and then I got captured and picked up by my arms and legs and swung around. x3

Also, I got a lot of random passerbyers saying stuff like "You're Naruto! Oh I'm so good at this!" and I'd just be like "... I'm Sasuke..." And little kids kept waving at me.

Someone dressed like L asked me my name. So I told her. And then the Mikami cosplayer started to write my name in his Death Note! O__O;  Good thing my last name is too difficult to spell.

My favorite cosplay related moments of Kumoricon 2008...in no particular order...

1- While walking to my car in full pirate attire to retrieve my backpack, I encountered a family of normal people with a couple of little kids getting out of the car.  The mom was like, "Look!  It's a pirate!" which prompted me to tip my hat and say "Ahoy!"  Made the kids smile.

2- The Digimon photoshoot...even if there were only 4 of us. LOL.

3- Getting a lot of comments when dressed as Sailor Jupiter.

I have many stories but one thing that seemed frequent with this convention was everyone being so hung up on the fact that I'm a guy. I look rather feminine (cuuuurse, all my life) so when I'm around folks long enough to correct them when they call me "she" they usually just apologize and move on. This convention however I had quite a few people wanting to "confirm" (aka: feel) that I was a guy, particularly other guys for some reason. o_O; Aaah, only at anime conventions. >_>;;

One of the awesomest things at the con happened at the end. The staff had an impromptu "Hug the Staff" contest. Three other guys and I ran around the convention in a pack hugging all the participating staff members/staff minions, even having to CHASE down two of them who ran. XD We didn't win but we hugged a lot of people, including those who just wanted hugs, haha! Best contest ever, the staff should totally do it again next year!

Aaaaaw, kids are so fun to be around while in costume, especially when you're wearing cat ears and their eyes get really, really big with curiosity.

Best cosplay moment this con was getting my ass handed to me by Twilight Town Roxas (whilst being dressed as Organization XIII Roxas, of course). My fingertips still hurt.

lol! I just totally remembered some other funny things that happened, I was walking with Konohamaru following me when I was in my Kurenai cosplay and while we were walking through a hall I felt someone grab my ass, so I turned around to yell at Konohamaru and yet I see Sayda next to him with an evil grin >_> Yea....Sayda got away with ti *sigh* lol!
and also, I became a part of pass the kurenai so while people had me captive on my leash some random sasuke (gorgeous with snake bites and such) totally just walked up and said 'can I see that?" so they handed him my leash and he walked away with me O__O lol! I was his pet for like most of the night until like 8 people forced me from him then I was like led around ...escaped...then ended up with the rpg people from silent hill ^_^

I had a great moment. There was this group of three kids, probably about the age of 13. I was dressed up as Axel. The one carrying the chakrams all weekend and hanging out with a Kagura from Fruits basket. lol. Anyways, these three kids would glomp me every single time they say me. The first time it happened, I was in the park, and they screamed and charged at me. XD One of them was all "Axel! Imagine me and you! I do!!!" It was pretty cute.

I think one of the coolest  cosplay stories would have to be the random ones, like taking the elevator with  Shino, Jack Skellington and Master Shake.

Also Dancing with Ganon was a hoot.

also threatening to "Vanquish" a certain member of the Organization in the halls.

Or my favorite, seeing people, Akatsuki, Or members and Jesse and James ice skating in the mall.

Watching 2 Itachis, from my hotel room, wave at each other for hours as they waited in line Saturday morning

Here's a funny story, hah.
He was the vampire slayer and I was a vampire. I tried to take his sword. He put it between his legs, and I began to pull on it. People started taking pictures and we had to hold the pose for another 2 minutes.

Mello had a dance-off with Near on Saturday night.

Sailor Star Healer hugged Allen Walker, who rubbed a half-eaten apple on her shoulder.

A video exists of Mello doing the Hard Gay pelvic thrust. There's another one of Mello eating a donut that had once been questionably shaped.

On Monday I was cosplaying Yukito Tsukishiro. I bought a Death Note shirt. When going to get lunch after leaving the con, I decided to change out of the top half of my uniform and into the t-shirt since it was more comfortable. I then realized that I looked like a total emo kid since I was wearing black skinny pants, black Converse, and hadn't removed the press-on nails from my Mello costume. Touya started freaking out about Yukito going emo. I decided that emo!Yukito scared me too and promptly switched wigs to become casual/emo/stoner!Mello.

Surprised, but not stirred, I reply with a hearty "HEEEEEEY WHAT UPPPP" and proceed to bear hug Male Yukari.

In one of my costumes--Amu from Shugo Chara-- I had a tie. I don't know how to tie ties.

Sooo......then Boba Fett(pretty sure....may have been a Stormtrooper? I know I'm a dork for not remembering) is using his friend venom Spiderman to try and tie a tie in reverse, after complaining about how long Venom took in the bathroom.

Once I finally got a chance to chat with the light-up Mewtwo cosplayer, people started encouraging us to brawl, Smash Bros. style. However, I didn't have my weapon props. So I suggested we do what an unarmed Link would do in Twilight Princess: sumo wrestle.

Mewtwo had played the game, so we played it up completely. We had a full TP sumo match complete with slap-dodging and A-button tapping. I'm not sure how many people got the joke, but there was laughing and amusement.

I wouldn't be able to recognize Mewtwo out of costume, but she was pretty cool. Mewtwo, if you're out there, sumo Link says hi!

OOH! OOH!  I just remember another great little anecdote:

In the middle of the ballroom dancing lesson, our practice was interrupted by the intrusion of Darth Vader and a Clone Trooper. Both armed, they faced off at the entrance to the room.

After a few seconds, however, they dropped their weapons... and started doing the waltz with us.

It was so romantic. <3

The little kids ran over wanting a hug calling me sensei. XD Then Itachi wanted a hug... but I think the two children were rather fitting considering the costume. XD

During the Tale Of ___ Shoot the first day Myself and another Zelos got into a fight over Sheena. We battled using our bouquets or roses.

Kingdom Hearts on Ice, how epic was that? Me and my Kingdom Hearts group were wandering around, for the first time in years we were going to attend photoshoots this time around and the first Kingdom Hearts shoot was a complete dud, minus the killing of L and getting the Orgy to bow to us good guys!

But the next day, my friends and I went to get lunch at the mall and ran into the second photoshoot? The timing was perfect! And I was the only Sora! Ice skating with Kairi was amazing and Pete was such an awesome photographer, I can't wait to see the pictures that came of it.

Here are mine.
I was Ichigo Mew Mew, and we were standing in line for the slants concert (me and my two friends) and they started singing one of the mew mew songs. They were on either side of me, so I reached out my arms to clap my hands over their mouths, making my strapless dress fall down! It was insanely awkward.
Another one is we were walking downtown and decided to go for pizza, and there was a pizza place right there, so we walked in and bought some pizza. My friend was cosplaying as Dante, and we all wanted to get pictures of dante eating his pizza, but she didn't like the pizza, and It was just a funny concept, Dante not liking Pizza! LOL

Well, I don't really have a funny story, or at least I can't think of one. But I found it kinda weird how girls were randomly asking me if they could hug me, not that I didn't mind getting hugs.

sooooo. well the crazy thing that happened this year was....ah man I can't remember everything. it might have probably been while I was in my cosplay skit and trying to hold my composure when one of our members kept screwing up. and it was so funny to. XD I had a lot of other crazy happenings too. like tuxedo mask, yelling out from balconies, changing with the window open(and people saw me too), and...other things too. I'll probably think of some later.
