The hotel (like most hotels) had a walking map of local food, I know cause I grabbed a couple for some people, I'm pretty sure that the Subway was the closest thing that wasn't in the hotel. Those tend to be more accurate than con maps anyway (I remember a bunch of people getting lost from the bad map/confusing Portland combo during K-con 08)
I really liked M.E.W. con's small-ness, and wouldn't want it to get too much bigger. What I think we really needed was more diversity; we did a good job getting the anime fans in, but when a Sci-fi guy wandered up and asked me for programming suggestions, I really didn't have much to tell him. We also had some problems filling up some panels, which I think a bit of a boost in attendees and diversity would've helped.
I loved our vendors and hope they come back, maybe next time we can find a way to have them closer in to the con- they felt really distant.
Staff radios would be awesome, getting everyone's cell #'s was a pain in the butt (I wound up only having Venton's and Kittyminion's). I know that we were supposed to have them, hopefully next year we actually will.
