So Uwaji does a little thing where we can get through con shock just a bit easier. This year it's the 27th and the 28th. I haven't heard if Altonimbus has a booth there this year, but they usually do.

Of course I can't not attend this weekend. These Uwajimaya Festivals are really key in helping me cope with my con withdrawals, heh. And A-Key Kyo will be there, so I've gotta go and see them. Can't wait to see you all again! ^_^

They were at my first kumoricon, A-key kyo. So going is a desire, but for now only a possibility for me.

NO! It is on Saturday and Sunday, the 27th and the 28th.

JHere is the blurb from their site:Enjoy the weekend with food, music, taiko, arts & crafts, martial arts, kids games, and a TOFU eating contest at Beaverton's Festival Japan.

I will be there! Mostly for promotional and political purposes.
I'm going to go see if the staff have got a booth ready.

So I heard there's going to be a festival at Uwajimaya on the 28th of this month, and I was wondering if the kumoricon booth was going to be there? It usually is. >.> It's where I pre-registered last year for like $20, and I was curious if this year it would be the same. I'd love to pre-register there if I can. x.x

Last I heard Tomthefanboy was checking to see if a booth was going to happen, but just judging from years before, I assume there will be. There hasn't been an Uwajimaya Festival without one for years.

i pre-registered at the Kumoricon booth there last year, so more that likely the booth will be back. They also sold T-shirts last year

Rate of first tier is going up. At con, 2009 reg started at $30, so IF there is a booth at Uwajimaya, and IF we sell reg there, people will be paying $30.00.

Also, everyone keep in mind, if you have an inkling that you may possibly want to become staff, don't pre-reg as an attendee. Staff get special price and stuff.

The staff registration fee was 10 dollars this year. I don't know if this is changing.

As for what does a staff member have to do, the best answer I can give you is "work really hard".

It really depends on what position you may be interested in and what department you want to work with. If you (or anyone else) are interested in more info on becoming staff and the different positions available, pm me and I'll be happy to discuss further.

Unfortunately, it's a bit off topic for this thread.

wait you turn 18 the Monday of the con? Because if you turn 18 any time before the con just show them ID as prof that you will be 18 and they will give you the older badge....but if you turn 18 on Labor Day well then you are kinda screwed.
