But I need to purchase a wig and blue contacts hmmmm
Ideas??

I don't know any stellar places to get contacts or a wig, but...............YAY!! You're gonna be Kaede! I'm gonna be Sasuke and Kahlan and Oslapedo are gonna be Shinobus, and StarryShay is gonna be Miyabi! And Kahlan and I are making plushy/bouncy Onsokumaru, so we'll have a whole crew! Yay! *happy dance*

I recommend Amphigory for a wig, and as for contacts, I wear blue ones ("true sapphire") by Freshlook and they're rather vibrant and good.

Alright I have a free office trial, but what if I want to buy them? It doesn't say on the website how much a pair costs :\
will they charge me if I try on the tester contacts? DX I've never done this before [hitshead]

Do you ever go to Costco? That's where I get mine. Trial ones should be free, although they have "demo" written on the contact, lol. Mine are prescription so I'm not sure if they cost more because of it.

And yay Natalie! You'll be an adowable Kaede!!! Me and my sister will be working on our cosplay dilligently throughout the whole year. We want to get them done by Mew Con, but we have 0 experience so it might be impossible

as much as i realy think that show is awesome, and would really like to see some cute stuff from it, i think this falls under my "try not to pick characters that dont fit your own physical archetype" (if you can help it) rule. there are other characters in the show that may go better with the coloring your mother gave you. cosplays only really hit home runs when youve already got a bit of the character running in you, either because of coloring, attitude, body type or general chutzpa.

but yeah amphigory is a good site for wigs.

haha, yeah, but that fact isn't revealed until the second to last episode, heh. There is even a point where Onsokumaru refers to the groups collectively as "crazy Sasukes", making you think that is everyone's name, heh.

Yeah, I know what you mean about wanting to branch out and go to another con (in addition to Kumoricon, of course). That is one reason I am really looking forward to MEWcon, that and I don't think I'll ever go to Sakuracon. I like my cons small and tight-knit. If Kumoricon gets big (which it seems it will inevitably) that will be fine because I've been with it since it was small. I don't think I'd ever like to attend a con for the first time if it is already massive though.

And it's uber-spendy.
