I have helped run and officiate in track meets for 6-7 years, including some national level competitions with 1500+ athletes. I was generally in charge of the clerk circle, which handles registration and information, making sure officials have all of the necessary paper work for their events and that they start on time, coordinating breaks in between events, data entry and posting results, as well as a few other misc tasks. It can definitely be a stress heavy environment and includes long days.
So anything along those lines would be easily doable, or whatever gap I am needed to fill. I do like to be able to walk around at least every once in a while. So if the info desk needs help as well, I could assist them during that time or just roam and help various con attendees who have questions.
However there are a few complications. I live in Eugene, and as of this moment, I don't have a car. Also, as I work retail, I have to work some weekends. I have a 3 weeks schedule rotation, but it is fairly constant, so I can plan ahead. I get every third weekend off normally. I do have vacation time, but I would prefer to save that for the actual con and other events if it is needed.
So depending on when the meetings are, I may or may not be able to make most of them. If you have any questions or if you need more info about my work schedule, please let me know and I can give you the details. I will do my best to physically attend any meetings possible, but I also have no problems "telecommuting" or catching up on anything important that I missed.
P.S. This year I volunteered a few times and helped at the sake/beer tasting panel, the information desk, and a few of the viewing rooms.
