Halloween?
« on: September 07, 2008, 02:38:04 pm »
Halloween is almost a month away and I was wondering if anyone had any plans. Maybe a meet up or a party?

If this subject is untouched I brought up the idea of having a Halloween party at my house. However I don't think I could have a lot of people over so if anyone has a better idea let me know. Maybe we could just meet at the waterfront and terrorize on Portland?

I'm hanging out in cosplay with a group of my friends, but we've yet to get a date~

Heck, I might even host a party at my house!  But we'll see...

If nothing else is happening for me on the 31st, I agree with the terrorize of Portland idea. Or Cook Park and staying overnight at your place  if you wanted to keep things small. You might just see a cursed pirate! Or just Inuyasha if it's cold enough. Or maybe even my ultimate creation! Inu-Trunks the pirate! (Inuyasha+Trunks+Pirate)

I'm curious to find out if the anime club at Clark College is going to be having a Halloween party or anything.  I'll try to find out, it could be fun.  And it's not too far out of the way.

Well, I do this every year, but I plan to have people over and watch a bunch of cosmic horror/cult/bizarro films for Halloween. We never get through my whole collection so there are always new movies to watch. If anyone likes horror films, you are welcome to come chill, kick it, or boogie (whichever is your preferred thing) at my place. ^_^

Yay for horror films!

That sounds pretty sweet.  My friends from CC have a pretty nice horror movie collection.  Although personally, I'm a fan of the really bad horror movies.  Like you know, Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 (which I still need to watch in its entirety.)  Or Troll 2.  Really low budget, poor acting, excessive amounts of fake looking blood, etc.  I love it.

I am not sure if it has happened or not, I don't think it has, but yeah there is a Zombie Walk in Portland. I think it is still being planned at the moment as there are no definite details for it yet. I would totally be down for it though. I've wanted to take part and always seem to miss it. It'd be killer though. I could finally use my WWZD? spinner! lol

Driving to Portland would be a bit much for my Halloween.  I have Anime Friday at my home every Friday anyway, so probably have the same crowd come by for anime viewing.  Maybe I'll throw in a few scary and graphic animes this year.  Hmm.  Claymore and Elfen Lied maybe.

Was wondering if anyone had plans for an anime themed pumpkin this year.  I try to make one every year.  Have patterns from some of my previous year pumpkins floating around these threads.  I can post links if anyone is interested.

Ask and yae shall receive:

Inuyasha -  This was my first endevour.  Didn't come out to badly.

You can get the Inuyasha pattern here:

http://wuntvor.home.comcast.net/~wuntvor/Inuyasha_Pumpkin_Design.pdf

My next endevour is probably my favorite.  Alucard from Hellsing.

You can get the Alucard pattern here:

http://wuntvor.home.comcast.net/~wuntvor/Alucard_Pumpkin_Design.pdf

The last is a pumpkin I did a couple years ago.  This was the hardest one, and I don't have the pattern on-line, because this isn't by any means an easy one.  I now present Alphonse from Full Metal Alchemist.

Hope you enjoy my pumpkin ideas.  Any ideas for this years?

Do you need instructions on how to use the patterns?

My daughter has her pumpkins as well.  All of hers are characters from Sonic the Hedgehog, of course.  You get one guess as to who she was at KumoriCon.  And yes, we made that mascot costume ourselves. GHAA!  :P  I may try compiling her pics and patterns as well.  I know we have them buried in these computers somewhere.  Anyone interested in carving out the entire Sonic cast?  Well most of them.
