I'm having a bit of a difficult time trying to decide on things relating to new members. ù.ú

First of all, our group is already pretty big. V-K, it would be okay if you couldn't attend all of the meetings (not all of us can do that anyway, real life gets in the way sometimes) but as long as you make it to the majority of them and follow the rules on posting and stuff it would be fine. Communication is really important to the group and it gets harder when the group is bigger.

The group is mostly more familiar with V-K than soundninja, right? I know that is a reason I'm more partial to accept her. However she's not just going to automatically be with us because more members know her because remember part of the group is making new friends. xD

Soundninja said she was gonna wait until after K-con to formally apply again, but since we're deciding on the series now for next year, if Kameko gets a vote then she should too, since she expressed interest, but if she decides she doesn't want to apply... Then voting is skewed. Should we call seniority and new members don't get a vote? That's mean, but... A "new (or potential) member" vote is different than a "non-member" vote, in that a new member would vote for something they want to be a part of, but a non-member would vote for something they would want to see being done but not necessarily participate.

Kameko, if you really want to join, fill out the application from the first page and PM it to me. Like our non-cosplaying members and soundninja, you could help this year by taking pictures or sommat.

Speaking of the photoshoot, I think we should get a pro photographer! Our awesome group should have awesome photos to go along with. I feel that having really good quality pics to show off will enhance our group a ton.

This is something I would pay for on my own, but if y'all are cool with the idea then maybe we could all pitch in for it (because I'm not made of money, but this is important to me).

We should also start coming up with ideas for photos now that we have our skit and panel mostly planned out! We don't know exactly what we'll have to work with there (or at least I don't 'cause I don't really know the area), but we can come up with different characters/scenarios/whatnot for photos that we'll kind of have a structure to the photoshoot as well. Or we'll at least be more efficient. 8]

I want to have lots of photos taken - the convention is after all the culmination of all our efforts for this year, so let's take full advantage of it, ya know?

ABSENT NOTICE Yes, I have one too!
I'm going to be down in LA from July 1st - 6th to be there for Anime Expo, so I'm probably going to busy on the 5th. I'm canceling it, unless you guys feel the need to hold a meeting.

This is way bigger, though: I am also going to be gone from July 20th - August 17th because I will be at summer camp. This means I will not be on for meetings on July 26th, August 2nd, August 9th, or August 16th, or be online to lead things at all during that time. The group can't afford to not meet for a month though, so the meetings will just have to happen without me. I can work on a plan for the group to follow, and I'd like to delegate someone to be in charge of taking notes and sending me reports that I will read when I get back. I have to think about this more and how it's all going to work, just letting you know a while in advance so you can be prepared.

Well, did you read the first page? We're the cosplay group Cake on a Plane. We're cosplaying from the series Strawberry Panic! this year, and we're going to have a skit and panel at K-con. At the moment we're mostly voting on what series we're going to cosplay from next year.
