I generally don't wear make up. When I do, it's usually for a costume. Like for my VK costume... Vampires are pretty, so I put on foundation to cover up flaws in the skin and I put on eyeliner and lipstick and everything, so it's all really defined. For Haruhi, I don't need as much since she's supposed to look like a boy but at Kumoricon I think I used eyeliner to make my eyes a little more noticeable.

Makeup can REALLY change your appearance and is super helpful for costumes. I just usually don't wear it 'cause it's bad for my skin (sticking and clogging pores and all that - it makes me break out if I keep it on for too long) and also I don't want people to think I look bad when I don't have it on. I don't want it to become a necessity like it is for a lot of girls. xD I'm fine with my natural appearance.

EDIT: But, yeah, I use it for costumes to change how I look. Like I said.

And also It doesnt do much for me without it when I tip my head forward I get told I look creepy! And I also get told Im creepy with my eye liner on anyway so meh.....I rather just stay away from everything but foundation XD

And apearently I look better without the eyeliner for mah sasori cosplay....I have a few pics of me with my eye liner on and my hair spiked >_>

Well, makeup can look dumb if you don't put it on right according to your facial structure.

Edit: I've made lots of mistakes with that in the past and still continue to do so occasionally today... Practice helps.

Chiyo doesn't wear a lot of make-up though. She is a little kid after all.

I got my wig for Haruhi from Amphigory and it is practically perfect. That's a pretty respected site, so is CosWorx. You might wanna check there.

And Sugarlat, just because a character doesn't necessarily wear makeup, doesn't mean that the one cosplaying them doesn't have to. Actually, to look younger, someone older basically MUST wear makeup. XD Seriously, makeup enhances a costume so much.

for now, people are still thinking of exact ideas for the skits so there isn't much you can do until then. besides gives ideas.
though I suggested improv games as practice. think of "Whose line is it anyway?" tv show for whats thats like.
