Very true, but Nagisa was always my favorite.  :P  Oh well. Maybe I'll just get the outfit and be my own character.

I remember there were a number of ideas throw around, none which I can remember at the moment.  Would have to ck my records.

Making some progress on Chikaru, some delays due to new job.  Hopefully, I'll have the skirt and collar mostly done by the end of tomorrow.

If we're all willing to buckle down and get serious when we work on it sure thing... but as for right now I think we're all a little to... "WEEEEEEEEEEEE HAPPY FUN TIME!" to work seriously on anything... At least I know that's how I am at the moment. I think after we all get settled as a group a skit would be a good idea...

That's my two cents.

I'm interested in a skit on my end.  Gathering skit ideas as that come to me.

KRock's suggestion that we get settled as a group may be a good idea though.

We've been a group for nearly a year and we don't have a skit script, whereas with New Days Dawning I think it's been less than a month and we have a script that's nearly finished. How much time is it supposed to take to "settle"? If we're not serious about doing a skit then we need to make up our minds and stop dawdling.

Well that's just how I feel. Typically when we start a meeting and we bring up the skit thing we all tend to start rambling and wandering away from the main topic at hand... so unless we get a Mother figure to keep us all in line we're never going to settle on a skit idea and get it ironed out.

I think a skit would be fun, but at the same time I agree that there's a good chance we'll never be able to get down to it.

I feel like there's always going to be someone missing, too many people who can't make it to meetings to practice, and we would definitely need to choose an idea and stick with it.

Also, have we decided on the time for the meeting? I know it's supposed to be on the 19th, I think anyways, but we'll need a time as well.

That is a good point.

Plus it harder getting a everyone's opinions with such a large group and commuicating with everyone.

I presuming everyone has the whole day clear for the 19th so how about 1 pm sharp?

Then June 12th maybe?  That should work with me, I'll have to put out the request for the day off this week.
The bleach trip is on the 13th so I'm not sure how that affect things.

Edit:
Wait, won't some people still be in school?  If thats an issue, maybe the 16-17?  It'll be like a going away party for Cassiopeia X_X.

Cassi and I both still have school on the 12th. We get out on the 18th.

Depending on how long the meet is, it might still work though.

I'm free that day, but it would be best if it didn't start until around 3 or so. Our school gets out at 2, but it's easier not to rush. Plus other people might have to drive farther than us.

Still no problem for me... I get out of school the June 5th, and I'm taking my driver's test within the week (as my grad present from my dad) so I should be able to jack the Pontiac and drive up assuming I pass... Which I'm praying to every holy being imaginable that I do.

Yes, we are doing a skit.

My last day of school is the 18th. I have a theatrical performance to watch in LA at 2:30 pm on the 20th. I am not sure as of yet when I am leaving, but it's unlikely I will be able to make it to a meeting on the 19th.

Osla has it right. Even if I can't be there, if most people in the group can make it then, have the meeting without me.

I'm really disappointed in the doubt of a skit. Okay, sure, New Days Dawning has moved really fast. I wish we could do that, but with our large group, it is harder because we started up such a long time ago and life happened. I don't want to be a [use your imagination here], but should I make it a requirement to attend online meetings, or a person is out? Communication and dedication were initial requirements for the group and once one thing falls apart, there's a cascade. It should be organized. I know I've had plans for a panel and skit for this group since the beginning. Have people not caught on?

Reminder: Online meeting planned for tomorrow. 5:30 as usual - I'm scheduling my oboe lesson around it.

It's good to be focused or else we won't get anything done. I did the draft for the NDD skit and I don't mind doing it for ours too, so everyone think of ideas tonight and tomorrow and suggest them. We'll have our skit done by this Friday.

What I feel is really important at this point is figuring out which members are active and which aren't. I need to know who's still with CoaP so I can write them into the script. If you're still active and determined with CoaP would you mind PMing me, telling me who you're cosplaying, and giving me ideas on how you want to be protrayed in the skit? Thank you~

Do you guys want to keep the meeting on the 19th or change it to sooner?

Excuse my excess of bold :D

As it stands now, the 80.00 the cosplay I'm buying from ebay costs is no problem for me. I should be able to order it June 15th, and if not, then July 1st. I'll make it my top priority, so no worries.

As for the skit, we had a general idea brought up during one of the meeting about a failed attempt by Nagisa of a confession, with the other characters causing distractions. Does that still pose as an idea?

I just checked in with KFC. She's gonna be a photographer for us not likely to cosplay and def not in the skit, and can't make it to any meeting due to it being too far away.

If you check the main page, you can see who's going as who. The dashes are roll call checked. The only person we need an update from is Amaya to see if she's on board as Nagisa.

How about keeping the meet up on the 19th unless we get a request from a majorty of the group by the end of this week to change it?  This way if we can't get a response from everyone(or someone is dragged away from here by the road of life), things are still set for the 19th and no one gets blindsided.

Most of my skit ideas are based on the novel/manga storyline so that may be spoilers for some.  Main idea right now is like a abridged version of that storyline with some hopeful good humor coming from that ending that summizared in that link I posted a month or so ago.

*makes note to self about tuesday*  almost forgot with during my planning for errands tomorrow(food and cosplay shopping) X_X

If members really want to go for a skit then it's getting close to crunch-time so we better figure it out.

I agree, I do not want this to fail like last year. So everyone please make up your mind because otherwise it's very frustrating~~~!

I don't seem rude, I think you have a point.
But, I think in General we need to just have a meeting when we're all online and all on the same page I figure if we all want to truly be successful this year, we just need to focus.
Also, I think its a bit weird that we're all like "Yea we should have a skit" when we've been talking with Cassi to have a skit since Mewcon.
Not just that, but I ran my Skit Idea's over with Seraph and K-rock, But I guess it was forgotten, I think the next meeting we have we should all through out Idea's or add on to others so that we can all be involved.
Thats my take on the meetings and skits anyways.

That why everyone should get past that stage. Because if every meeting is going to be like that then nothing is going to become finished. At all. I've noticed this in the past, and when things like this happen people just brush off things etc.etc (not finishing cosplays etc.etc dropping)

Yes, we are doing a skit.

My last day of school is the 18th. I have a theatrical performance to watch in LA at 2:30 pm on the 20th. I am not sure as of yet when I am leaving, but it's unlikely I will be able to make it to a meeting on the 19th.

I agree completely. If someone misses a meeting then too bad for them~ (I missed it, and sorry! I was doing HW) But seriously we need to crunch down because I do not want the group to end up like it did last year. Cassi and I know all to much about that.
Orgination is the key, and commitment. If you feel like your cosplay isn't going to be done, or if you feel iffy about this group etc.etc. THEN PLEASE TELL US.
We do not want to waste or time etc. then to know that you are dropping out last minute. I know this sounds rude, but I want this group to succeed.
I also think that we need to realize that not everyone is going to be at the meetings since there are quite a lot of members. And the meetings should consist of CAKE ON THE PLANE, not other things as well. Sorry, if I'm sounding rude : [

You're not sounding rude, you're making valid points. All I was stating was the facts of the meetings. I'm not saying that I don't partake in the rambling - we're all guilty of that at one point in time.

And Naru is right. We had a skit idea going, but no one seemed to want to get behind it but had no ideas of their own to contribute. A problem is we're probably not quite familiar with the anime/manga. I know I wasn't until a few months back. I think when we first started, all I knew was that Nagisa was the main character, it was yuri, and Kizuna was tricked into wearing cosplays at random points in the manga. That's about it. It's not much knowledge to base a skit off of.

What we need to do is come up with a general idea of the comedy we're going to shoot for. Do we want to focus mainly on silly actions, innuendos, witty commentary, etc? From there we can find a topic to base the skit around, and then we can worry about fleshing it out and adding movement. But we need to get the basics down first.

That's my opinion.
This is my life. These are my choices.

I agree with all the points above.

I'm also very sorry I haven't been able to go to the online meetings, every one of my Sundays for the last freaking month or something like that have managed to be tied up without computer access.
My instant messenger is: infinityinanhour@msn.com, and I have no idea how it works, I'm sorry.

As for skit ideas, I think innuendo is really fun, personally. And I like the idea of Nagisa being interrupted repeatedly from making a confession as well.

Might go better with my skin... I don't want to get one that is too light. >_>

This one looks pretty good too..

I don't know if I really want to style it in the ponytail. That would mean getting a longer wig and possibly mussing it up. :x It's pretty hard to keep long hair nice when putting it up in a ponytail.

If I wanted to go for accuracy, I'd get this wig, because her hair goes down to her waist, but I don't have the money or space to keep it so I've gotta sacrifice.

I, personally, would try looking for a extension ponytail or something. But I wouldn't want to "half-ass" it and leave it down. I would only do that if it was the actual length and whatnot. But those don't seem to be anywhere near the right length. I promise I'm not trying to put you down but I totally love Shizuma and I think she's too awesome to not be really good.(If that makes sense.) >3<

I was thinking about getting one of those! But it might be hard to match with a wig.. I still need to look into it. I could get wefts to add in, maybe...

Just a forewarning for everyone, I had the preliminary work for a crown done on my tooth today, along with the side of one of my wisdom teeth removed. I've taken Vicodin for the pain soon too come, and as a result I'm rather out of it. I'll try to pay attention, but if some things get lost in translation on my please be patient. I'm not at full capacity at the moment.

I'm also trying to eat a huge ass sandwich while half my mouth is still numb so I won't get nauseous from the Vicodin and I'm quite amused...
This is my life. These are my choices.

I want to be there for the meeting, but what should I do?

Also, what do you guys think of this wig for Tamao: http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Long-Straight-Blue-Hair-Wig-PARTY-w-Gift-Y07-ah_W0QQitemZ160334291648QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_CSA_MWA_Wigs_Extensions?hash=item2554ab22c0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A4%7C294%3A50 (Sorry for the absurdly long link.)

I'm a bit suspicious of the price, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Advice, maybe?
Looking at it again though, I think it's too bright, but still.
