Nope you still have a chance to join the group. But I know that Iruka-sensei isn't going to work Scream at the Beach anymore. She managed to get enough tickets, through the help of a friend and a few others. Scream at the Beach kinda **** up her back. But Tom, she says she will meet you over there tomorrow and hand you the two ticket's PERSONALLY, and go through the haunts with you.

The event is next friday, and because I haven't worked as much, nor will work as much as I thought... I request that people so happen to be kind enough to bring the 20 dollars it takes to get in? It's not a lot to ask really, and I would like to save the tickets for the people that I know realy need them. Or I have adamently promised them too. Kakashi from SakuraCon, and three other tickets have been promised.

OK, IrukaSensei, we will meet you at Scream at the beach tonight and bring both the cameras. That's good because we can talk about what kind of footage the manager wants. For the super dark haunts I can close the viewer so it doesn't give off light while filming and then point it at our faces so we get the cool green glowy eye effect.

I'm just worried that Vallie will make it look like people aren't doing a good job. She doesn't shriek when people scare her at these things. She smiles and tries not to giggle with glee, it all just makes her so happy. XD
Not exactly the reaction most places want.

I figured that I could video myself mostly going through tonight and then next week when we get all the cosplayers together I can film them from the back of the line as one of our groups goes in.

Yep, look for me at the Willcall Line, I'll be hanging out around there. I was considering going in cosplay, but the ANBU mask I usually use is back with it's owner. That's alright through -shrugs- ANYWAYS!... Yeah... ^_^ Actually, if you can... try and meet me at the line area anywhere between Six and Six Thirty... that way we can talk to the managers.

I don't know if I want to put any of the videos online yet, there are parts that just weren't that good. I'll probably post together a variety of stuff after our next trip this weekend. I need to get footage of the externals and the crowds too.

UPDATE!:

DO NOT RELY ON ENTRANCE TO THE EVENT THROUGH ME! I WILL ONLY HAVE SO MANY TICKETS. FOUR to FIVE OF WHICH ARE PRE-PROMISED AS A FAVOR. I will maybe have five or six left to give around... MAYBE... it is 20 dollars you need to put towards it... It's not that much to get the tickets. REMEMBER IF YOU ARE BUYING THEM THERE, ARRIVE EARLY! THE LINES STRETCH TO HELL AND BACK ON FRIDAY!....

ALSO... we are discussing going to BJ'S or DENNY's Or some sort of Restaurant after the event is over. Something nearby, even if we just order a drink or two each... (Pool our money together or something?)... We can stay and hang out and talk...

NOW because I can't edit my first post anymore...(tried wouldn't work) I need an update on whom is coming!

i'm not going to upload the
I'm not too happy with them but now that I've been through once I should be able to get some better footage.

Especially the Mine, I messed up the camera and it didn't record in there! :(

IrukaSensei, have you talked to Henry about warning ALL the participants about "Mario's camera"? That'll help a lot the next time. thanks.

I'm not! I get off work at 5 tomorrow but I still have to run home, clean up my leg (got an infected rash behind my right knee), get into costume, then hop on the MAX and head up to Lombard where I'll hop on the 6 to Jantzen Beach. according to TriMet I'll be there at about 7:15. :-[

Yep, just checked the website. It's $20 at Fright Town, which pays for all three haunted houses.

http://www.frighttown.com/

But, it seems the price is the same for both Fright Town and Scream at the Beach.

Fright Town has Baron VonGoolo's though. THAT is more than a haunt, it is a true attraction!

VonGoolo's is worth the Zombie Apocalypse and the Mine Shaft put together, at the very least.

I liked both of them because they both did different things.

Fright Town puts a lot more effort into the construction of their haunts and the staff is a little more focused. I went through the haunts on really crowded nights at each location and some of the Scream at the Beach haunts really suffered from the over crowding while the Fright Town haunts still worked.

They're both definitely worth the money, they're not always worth the wait.

Thank you Tom. Here's a little video of Fright Town (they left out some of the good scares, like where I was stationed).

http://videos.oregonlive.com/oregonlive/2008/10/fright_town_haunted_house.html
Unfortunatly, the Asylem wont be there next year.

And I must say, that when I was a monster at Fright Town, I HATED large crowds. Small groups are SO much easier to scare.
Now can we please stop this pissing match? It's getting old.

Now it's not so much about having a better haunt, but getting the last word.

BTW, IrukaSensei, can you make it to Lloyd Center next weekend? I'll be at the christmas party an I'd like to finally get you those DVDs.
