Lol, back on the forums again. We'll see for how long. I'm getting Frustrated 'cuz I can't find the darn heat gun to make my chain scythes... My first priority is definitely my costume but I still want to make a prop if I've got time. does anyone have any good ideas on weapon making materials? preferably that don't need heat guns? >.<

I'm going to continue my wig tomorrow when I buy a 3 inch, curved carpet needle, hair clips and some caulk. I need the caulk to make the wefts and the needle and clips to sew them in. On the plus side I found really good tutorials for both making and sewing wefts into the wig. We worked a bit on Rhe's wig but she needs to get the bandanna for us to do much more, otherwise it's hard to figure out how the hair is going to sit.

Not terribly far yet. I've got everything I need but I'm both too nervous and to busy to start cutting and sewing. I'd like to start the actual work this week but I've got a test in one Japanese class to study for, a speech in the other Japanese class to memorize (and a kanji test but I don't want to think about that right now), a paper to write for Expos, and lots and lots of reading for my History class... I didn't realize I was this busy until I wrote this out >.< ... I probably should have started earlier but oh well (lol) no use crying over spilled milk. Time to get down to business!!!! Hows your costume coming?

ZOMG! IM BACK! 8D Portland trips to the mall....fun fun. OH and while I was out I gots a Mizune wig, Zippers for her skirt, elastic for other parts on her and figured out how to do the feets and eyes for her hat 8D But I didn't get a chance to buy all of Patty's things. o.o

I'll be up on the 28th. I have good news! I found an old turtleneck while digging through my closet, so I cut off the sleeves and it's going to make a great pattern for my Black Star shirt. I'll just need to make it a bit baggier since its too fitted right now. ^.^ I feel like I'll be making progress soon!

I would just try to imagine what the character might wear and be creative with it.
There are also some episodes where they have on casual stuff too.
I'm probably going to be putting together an outfit like this since it's super easy.

I was planning on trying to do the Black Star outfit with the orange tank top for casual day. Maki already posted a pic of it. I know that Rhe was contemplating either this one:

My eyes are a golden hazel color. I'm not going to bother getting contacts. That's pretty close enough.

I honestly wouldn't worry too much about the eye color. Its always cool if you can have the right colored eyes but I think the rest of the costume is more important. I think it's only really necessary to buy the contacts if your character has seriously wonked out eyed. Technically, for Black Star I should have tiny little dot pupils with stars in them and no iris. I think my light, grey, blue eyes are going to have to suffice.

@Magneticplum: Lol it seems alot of characters in Soul Eater have some odd color of eyes or just little dots for eyes. xD I'm happy I don't have to buy contacts or anything for Patty. (Already broke from trying to buy yellow contacts for Jasdevi o.x) Lol Anyway If the main parts of the costume are Epic then people might not notice the eye color enless I'm standing right infront of them or there a Die-Hard Patty Fangirl. XD
