Do you guys ever pick up small habits when making costumes? I always end up noticing things like striped shirts (Matt- Death Note), vampire anything (vampire knight)... now I'm starting to look at everything symmetrical. xD
MUST MAKE EVERYTHING I CAN SYMMETRICAL >:O
This has been my biggest struggle with this cosplay. I want the left side to be identical to the right side! I want the front side to be identical to the back side! ::EXPLODES::

I tend to choose characters that are slutty or really sexy. >_> or that tend to have lots of fan service moments. XD

it's just who I am. and they tend to never have trim. or their really detailed and have different parts and layers to them. it's never just one garment, it's several.

example:Blair, sleeves, shoes, dress(with underpart). hat doesn't count.

Maki, I don't really do that, but I am good at finding similarities between me and the characters I cosplay as:

Mello, I always end up in second at everything I do; Canada, I'm invisible sometimes; Death, I'm obsessive about things, ect.

I'm a good list maker. :3

I keep everything cosplay related in this one notebook I have that has skulls on it. And when you move the notebook the skulls move. HAHA! It's my favorite one by far, and I always have it on me 24/7, usually even at the mall. It came with me to the picnic even.

I like to keep things color coded. So things that just need to get done are in purple, things that I can do over a long period of time/later in the month/etc are in blue, and things that need to get done ASAP are in red. I cross everything out I've done and do edits on things I've written down in black and everything is organized according to what it pertains to; cosplay -> what cosplay -> list; home -> chores -> list; homework -> class -> list.

Keeping lists is all about finding a way that works best for you. Just like taking notes and just about everything else in life.

After school on Monday if I don't have a lot of homework I'm going over to the bigger Joann's and looking to see what they have that I could use for Maka's boots. And I need to go to the mall with my mom to find a shirt and tie that'll work because one of the stores is going out of business, so everything is 60% or more off! 8D

Aand... everyone is still up, so I'm going back to work on the sewing machine(it's in the dining room so I have to be considerate for the sleeping people)!!

I'm making shoe covers. I found a pair of boots that are the perfect 'clunky-ness' of Maka's and the right height, so I was going to make some shoe covers, but I don't know what kind of fabric I should get for them. I was thinking leather because they're boots, but then I decided that was a bad idea and looked at some vinyl, but then I got worried that wouldn't look right and so I've avoided thinking about them.

damn, i missed out on a lot of work goin on 0.o i got my mask basically done, just need to spend my time now making the shoulder and pointy head wire frames so it looks right (curse pointy things). and crap, i still gotta do the hands. T.T got a ways to go. atleast all I need to do for reno is get fitted for the suit. but whatever, anything thats worth it takes time right? (perhaps that means renos not worth it lulz) well im sick and up too late so for anyone still up, gnight yall.

Yeah I talked to a friend and he said upholstery vinyl for my shoe covers, so I'm going to look into that on Monday. And I'm getting a friend of mine to do my buttons for me because she's hella good with clay. So I just need to go shopping for the shirt/tie, finish my vest, and do my jacket and shoes. WOOT!

Yeah. I went to the mall with my mom, but the two stores we checked didn't have the tie, and I didn't have the chance to look for the shirt. (and if I told my mom we would have gone on an expedition for it and gotten home really late because she shops like it's WWIII or something... =.=;; ) so I'll have to go do that before on Monday/Tuesday after school.

and my friend is making my buttons for me, so I don't have to worry about them. They're in good hands.

Found THE perfect tie. Just ordered it. It should get here on the 8th, so I'm toeing the line, but hopefully the cosplay gods don't hate me.

Now I'm off to work on the jacket because the vest is giving me a heart attack and not fitting correctly and I'm tired of trying to fix it. ^^;
