My dream cosplay is... MEOWTH!
I've always wanted to dress up as meowth, because he is the coolest pokemon of them all! He's the coolest because... HE CAN TALK! Not to mention he seems to have much more personality than anyone.
Next con: Kumoricon
Make sure to pop in to the Tiptoe Through the TARDIS panel this year.
It is going to be...

Another dream cosplay on my list, it's actually crossplay even though I hate doing it, but he is just too awesome to not try.

But only if I had a good Giorgio.
10 points if you know what this is from.
Also if I did thing I'd have to open chest bind...maybe I could find out how to make prosthetic man chests or something.

@boogie
Wow, I actually think you look sort of like him. 030 Awesome! you should do him for sure but I know how you feel about crossplay. some male characters are just so awesome but sometimes it's so much easier just to stick to your original skin and go with that. >_<

I'm adding a new dream cosplay. probably will never happen but would be cool if it did. And I'm taking off princess yue, I kind of don't want to do her at all now. :/ too hectic.

I want to do Sora from Escaflowne. -sparkly eyes-

Haha, thanks! I'm gonna wait until my skills are a bit better to handle leather, because it seems that is all it's made of.
Also I love Escaflowne and I would love to see that cosplayed!

really? wonderful! I haven't seen an escaflowne cosplay at ku-con except once. I think it was Allen from the series. :/ I think this might be a bit harder to do since she has so many layers with crazy designs. and I'd have to buy elf ears and the last pair I bought were really annoying to wear. >_<

My dream is to do a group cosplay of all the main characters (including the doremi elves, the royal family, some extraneous guards and the 108 stars of course) of suikoden v.  Unfortunately, gathering appx 150 people, getting the costumes, and choosing one for me that doesn't look completely wrong/horrible would be waaaaaay too much organization, expense, and headache than I can handle. Though if I did it, I'd probably want to be Marina or Arshtat (even though there's no way I could pull it off).

besides, these guys do it so much better.

Dream cosplays--first of all, finish these guys (all have been at about 85-90% for a while):

And then get started on these:

(The painting on Sakura and Syaoran's robes is the major reason I've gotten nowhere on those outfits despite having the fabric. Do you know how much fabric paint that will take? Gah. Sixteen yards of ivory bridal satin is waiting in my storage unit while I try to gather the motivation.)

And especially this set:

Other dream would be to complete at least one cosplay from every main and major secondary character in Ranma 1/2 (if I don't wear them, get my boyfriend to), and at least one character from every Rumiko Takahashi series. Usually more than one.
Urusei Yatsura = Lum (2 versions done); Planned --> Shinobu, Benten, Ran
Maison Ikkoku = Planned --> Kyoko
One Pound Gospel = Planned --> Sister Angela
Mermaid Saga = Planned --> Rin, Mana
Ranma 1/2 = Ranma (4 versions done), Akane (5 versions), Shampoo (2 versions), Nabiki (1 version), Ryouga (1 version); Planned --> Everybody else, plus more versions of <-those guys
Inuyasha = Kagome (summer uniform), Sango (kimono); Planned --> Kagome (winter uni, casual clothes, final manga version), Sango (taijiya), Miroku, etc.
Various characters from one-shots and short stories (Firetripper, Wasted Minds, etc.)

Oh, I know how to do it, it's just the amount of work that the process will require makes it really hard to get motivated. That, and any method I use will cost quite a bit. Only thing I've got done is making the kimono pattern and the hair beads.

My dream cosplays~! =3
(Yes, I've checked to make sure my body type will allow me to do these since they will be, er... pretty difficult. ._.; )

AIDA Atoli from .hack//G.U.

Aina from .hack//G.U.

Layla (the girl holding the flames) from Sound Horizon's first Maxi Single, Seisen no Iberia

Violette and Hortense from Sound Horizon's Fifth Story, Roman

There you have it~! ^_^

EDIT:Adding one more... but this one is reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaally tough to make the costume for. O_O; If I ever do make it, I was going to use a fiberglass armor technique to make his main body, and use a VERY durable frame to make the rest of his "outfit". ._.;

Orpheus from Persona 3

Yes. Barely doable unless I can find special ways to work out the robot look and still keep the correct hip and shoulder sizes. 0_o; At least I'm shaped slightly well enough~! ^.^
But yeah, this really IS a dream cosplay. >.<;

Beyond of my dream-becoming-reality of Grave of Maria, I really wanna do basically every version of Lenalee there is. Specifically I want to do third activation, if not the Iron Fetters form (which would actually be physically impossible, not just extremely hard) then at least the glowing boots form.

I would also really enjoy, methinks, being a Level 4 Akuma.

Some day, though, Gear from Static Shock. I need a Static, though.

One of two costumes not related to anime that I would love to do someday that I totally forgot about until tonight is Silken Floss from the movie The Spirit.

No one would get it, but I don't care. I looooooooooooooooooved Frank Millers take on it and after The Octopus (I have Samuel L. Jackson love forever <3) she was my favorite character.

Maybe someday?

I just got into cosplay, and I've decided that cons are much more fun in costume.  I have a few characters I aspire to be, but there's one that I'd absolutely LOVE to do; the summon Judgment from the game Golden Sun.

It would be ridiculously difficult to make, transport, and wear, and I don't think a whole lot of people would recognize it, but that is my cosplay dream.

So, what character do you dream to cosplay someday?  What's stopped you from doing it thusfar?  Difficulty?  Obscurity?  Lack of funding?  Post a pic if you can, so we can all look forward to it if you eventually tackle it. :D
YESYESYES I SAY! That would soooo totally rock! I REALLY want to do a group GS cosplay in 2010. :3

Jirarudan from Pokémon (forgive the lighting in that picture, my scanner must have been acting up). It's not that his costume is difficult, since it really isn't (white pants, brown shoes, and a long blue coat/jacket/long shirt/whatever that thing is), but I'd want to go all out. So I'd have to learn poise...and perfect my singing because I'd have to do his image song at karaoke and his VA is a Broadway star.

Although the two huge stumbling blocks are his hair (it's green, poofy, and sticks up in two places) and the fact that his coatthing goes straight so I'd have to lose a *lot* of weight for it.

Although I already have two awesome props for it--the Ancient Mew card and a Lugia doll.
If you were to do that, it would be sooo awesome! My friend is doing Lugia for her cosplay and perhaps I could be Melody. ^^

Eep! o.o
I was actually planning to do the artbook Access Time for Sakuracon '10. <3

I might have to change it to his regular outfit, though, depending on what my Maron decides.

My dream right now is Ashlotte from Soul Calibur -

My friend wants me to do her by Sakuracon '10, but with my abilities it probably won't be as grand as I want it to be. :P
I'm still a little scared about her black jumper and clockwork heart.
I'll just have to remake it later.

Balmung from .hack// -

Both also have armor, which isn't my friend, and are very mature looking, while I still look... childish. ><'

and finally~ Midna from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Ashlotte is sooooo killer! I'd love to see that.

As for me, let's see. I still have a soft spot for Anima from Final Fantasy X:

Like that will ever happen though!

I'd also really love to cosplay a couple characters who (shockandawe) aren't from an anime or a manga. They are from a book series I'm currently reading called The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I'd love to cosplay either Chase or Orsk, both of which are huge brutal warrior guys. 'Nuff said. ^_^

Adelbert Steiner (Final Fantasy IX) would always be awesome in my book, but the armor is intimidating:

Other than these, hmmm, not sure if I have really been struck by a character that stands out as an absolute Dream Cosplay. But these are ones I'd hope to do someday.

My new dream cosplay would more than likely be incredibly expensive, very complicated, and HELLA heavy.

My dream cosplay is...

Everyone else's is so grand... mines so... IDK.
I would love to be Nunnally, from Code Geass, but it wouldn't be very practical. You would never be able to wear it to a meetup, because wheelchairs can be really hard on your arms (my brothers in a wheelchair, and he has super buff arms). Plus I wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone if we decided to walk around.
It would also be really hard to make the chair, but I'll try my best (I'm going to try and make it for MEW or Sakuracon this year {MEW could be inconvenient if I was outside alot. I'd go flying on the ice}).
I think I could do it, so if we ever do an entire Code Geass meet-up, then I'd appreciate it if you did it in a nice flat place, with no stairs.
(I'd do the Nunnally in my Avatar)

I think the next of my list of costumes to do is going to be Jakotsu from Inuyasha.

But it would just be to expensive and to attain that skill in the amount of free time I have well yeah not for me. Would be fun though.

Me wants to make a dark magician. I think I could do that. I might actually plan on it. A friend of mine is planning a Yugi next year, so why the hell not.

So, I know it's kind of, well, impossible... But I want the closest thing to Paine's Full Throttle dress-sphere. Because, I mean, who DOESN'T like sharp objects?  ;D
