if you're going to sakura, I suggest deciding if you're going to arrive on thursday or friday. friday if funds are a concern, but thursday gives you a day of rest from the travel and you dun have to worry about missing anything.

sorry, I forgot about school. so its likely friday I would imagine.

presuming con rates are same as last year, cheapest con hotel was 125 a night plus maybe 15% tax. presuming you get friday and saturday nights(leaving on sunday) and then splitting it evenly between 4 people that about 72 dollars per person(rounding up). since it sounds like you guys will take the train, you won't have parking fees either.(maybe bus fees though.)

well con hotel are usually the closest and nicest hotels. I'm sure there are others that are cheaper, but likely won't be as nice nor as close. people who have costumes that dun go well outside may have to avoid this option however.
