@Megan :D I dunno, my crazy scares people away sometimes. >.< I sorry.

@ Teasel
Maybe if you didn't give of a 'the world hates me' vibe all the time you wouldn't feel that way.
But I've seen you post comments like that more than once and personally I feel that it's an attention seeking manouver. People don't respond well to stuff like that because they know it'll just feed it. >.<
This is simply my opinion, it's not meant to be offensive, it's merely an observation.

Kind of hard not to when you're depressed.

If it seems that way, then sorry. It's unintentional; I've ALWAYS been on the outside looking in.

@ Megan I can't D:
BUT YOU SHOULD TOTALLY COME TO THE MEETUP ON SUNDAY CAUSE I'LL BE THERE.

@ Teasel The only reason you're depressed is because you let yourself get that way, and you can get youself out of it. I've been around people like you my entire life. And I know that most of the time its not an easy fix, but by no means is it impossible.
This forum is obviously something you like or you wouldn't be here.
Someone told me this once, "The only thing we HAVE to do is die."
You can make your life whatever you want it to be and you're the only one holding you back.

YES THAT ONE.

Yeah I know. I've been playing therapist my entire life.
It gets annoying but after you help someone once they keep coming back.
I do like it though.
I like helping people.
Mom wants me to be a lawyer instead though.
I'm gunna, cause I help people in court too.

Having to deal with my family all my life, I help when I want to but otherwise I just get angry at them being depressed~

Helping people pushes you forward, but it wears me down. ;)

Be a therapist.  A higher income isn't worth a lower standard of enjoyment in life.  Successful lawyers have to sacrifice their personal integrity constantly to defend clients who don't deserve it.  Unless you're comfortable lying to yourself to fulfill that which is required of you to make a living, or you know someone who could afford to hire you (read: independently pay for you to be successful) privately whose integrity matches your own, I'd avoid considering law as a profession.

And I'm not making a slight at lawyers here.  To a degree, I have to do the same thing as a moderator.  If have to operate under rules that might require me to act against a friend, and if I didn't, then I wouldn't be doing my job right, and the forums wouldn't run as smoothly.  So certainly, if you think you could handle it, then fine, but just be aware that at some point you'll have to draw the line between what is right, and what the system says is right.  And that's going to be a lose-lose decision.

Just my two cents.

I understand that.
Eventually I want a degree in both fields, I know it will take forever, but I figure career now and I can go back to school later. I know that people who say that don't usually do it, but I'm determined to make myself do it.
Also, if I get this internship I applied for, it will put me in a law office for about a week, I can see what it's like and decide then.
I'm taking a three semesester IB psychology class this year as well, so I'll get a taste of that too.
I've thought about this a lot and I'm trying to cover all my bases.
I miss 2010.

Okay, it sounds like you're considering your options thoroughly then.  Just don't let your parents' expectations of you dictate your career decisions; too many people throw away their dreams and aspirations to meet the arbitrary goals that their parents have for them, rather than confronting their parents and presenting those dreams and aspirations, which rational parents will often support as long as they're not too ridiculous.

I learned a long time ago that I'll never live up to her expectations (It's that whole family cycle thing. My mom's still trying to live up to my grandma's) but that I should try my hardest all the time.
Luckily my expectations for myself are very high aswell, maybe even higher than hers.

My master plan is to be an Elementary School Teacher. I'm already going to school for it and after student teaching for the first time I'm sure that it's what I want to do.

You guys shouldn't worry too much about have a 100% positive plan on what you want to do, especially if you're still in High School. Most people don't really decide on something until at least their freshman year of college. That's awesome though for those of you who are already working towards something you feel passionately for. =]

And I agree.... having a back-up plan is always a good idea!

The way I view the universe is this:
We're all put here for a reason and we leave when we've fufilled our purpose.
My calling is to do some good and that's what I plan to do.
I also believe in a form of reincarnation.
I'm not a new soul, I'm sure of this.
I'm also sure of the fact that my purpose is to change someone's life for the better, and when that purpose is fufilled, I will die, and get taken to the next place I'm needed.

This is why it ticks me off when I see all those people wasting their lives, and wasting others.
I do not believe it is a human's right to take a life, ANY life, unless it is for survival.

I'm addicted to fruit, so I feel your addiction.
Like I ate a whole watermelon last weekend, and threw up.
And I was housesitting so my mom had to come get me at 9 o'clock (drove for an hour) and swapped me with my sister.
