I'd say that I'd love to go to MEW, but that'd be a lie.
On the turn of the year, all of my old friends and I get back together.
Sure, we cuss at each other, and throw stuff, and stab each other with Lulu the metal alpaca, but I love them.
And I'm not sure what I'd do if I couldn't count on being able to see them at least on the turn of the year.
My friend who spends all of winter break in South Carolina makes sure he can come, even if it's only for an hour.
Everyone is growing up, yeah, and we've all moved on from each other, but in a weird way, we will always be that one clique from middle school that never spent time with anyone but each other.
We still love each other unconditionally, no matter how many cuss words fly from each others lips.
That, is why I didn't, and probably will never, go to MEW
This is an understandable tradition. This could be the only time you would have to see them since so long. Besides, meetups are still rolling so you'll always see us more often.
As for me, my glorious return from the con has caused me to invent two new acronyms.
the
Manga and
Exotic
Worlds Convention can also be named the
Most
Epic
Win convention.
Also the term EFW. Epic Freaking Win! Think of it as a super saiyan level of the already legendary Epic Win.
Those that did not go or could not go, I hope that your new year's parties shone bright in your own way.
A new age has begun. An age of freedom! And all will know, that 300 otaku gave their last thread to reflect it!
