How do you know if when you're pushing the edge in a topic, that you've gone too far and how do you recover from it. Say you hear friends talking about something and you want in. Yet when you say something, they all stop and look at you like you're literally a creepy alien to them. How do you recover from that, and what can you do different when the opportunity comes up again?

Uh, if they are your friends and not d___ then it shouldn't matter. Friends know who friends are, so if you don't, you might find yourself realizing they are just as retarded as others say~

Find friends who think you're creepy and like you for it in your own way.

Honestly, I'd brush it off. But I'd have to agree with CatchxMe on this. If they are your friends it shouldn't be a big deal. If you're just getting to know them it can be awkward. Just be yourself. The point of having friends is so that you can sort of let down those barriers that you would normally have up (that, of course, doesn't mean that you should disclose everything. Just what you feel comfortable with).
If I were to say something stupid my friends would probably just poke fun at me, we'd laugh, then move on. I've never made any good friends by pretending to be something I'm not. Trust me, those are way too easy to make and they're not nearly as fun to be around
