Okay....here's my POV on the dance thing.....
Last year, the dance was okay, but it seemed that a majority of the music being played (at least at the beginning, or just the part where I was hearing the music) was popular American music. Not that that type of music is bad, but if kumoricon is an even to promote asian culture (not necessarily just the anime, but their music (which is featured in anime as opening and closing themes much of the time) as well, perhaps we should play songs that are not necessarily completely only-anime, but other tracks from popular japanese/korean/lao/chinese/vietnamese/etc artists as well? Like a mix of styles/genres/anime/ddr/etc.
That way, the purists who want at least half the music they're feening to dance to in a foreign language get their way, and the Gamers, and the congoers who only hear anime themes (and maybe don't have access to other music) get a little exposed to non-anime music as well.
Gargh....I'm not making sense. ignore me.
