FINALS ARE STILL GOING.

I'm freaking out, I have so much to do. I bought another wig head yesterday for easy Sakuracon Transportation and I ordered new shoes for my Miria costume.

I'm officially 100% finished with my Stargate uniform. Now I need to get off my arse and finish the upgrades to Deke and get the shoes for Lenalee, and I'm golden. I also need to make a good twenty or so replacement arrows for Esther and get some more lace, but that's about it.

Hmmm, come to think of it I kinda need to make the shirt for my sister's itty bitty!Lavi costume. Eh, I'll do it when I have time.

So I have to remake my Cassandra skirt for the FORTH TIME. I think this will be good, I've finally got it figured out. I got the top cut out too today and made the base for my shield.

So me and my mom took a look at my Miria dress today. Turns out if I want to remake the sleeves I'll have to reconstruct the top of the dress and if I take up the ruffle there will be no space between that and the other ruffle. So all I need to fix on my dress is do a little stitching at the top to fix something that ripped and style my wig. Also I restyled my White Mage wig last night and it looks great. Time to keep going on Cassandras top!

On this front, I made yet another absolute beginner's mistake and bought two patterns of bigger sizes than I needed. Friendly reminder: keep your receipts for your patterns in case you have to return them. I almost had to pay $11 to switch out a pattern I bought for $2.

well I got Blair's dress almost completely done. I just need to attach the bell, fix up a few hem's and I'm good to go. Then I just need to finish her hat(1/2 done with it) and make her thigh high shoes. ;3 oh and style her wig when it gets here.

update: no longer doing jasdero. :p(pending)

Lucia is almost done as well. I just need to get her wig and style it and then re-make her pants.

secret cosplay is almost done as well! <3 just need to get one final piece and I'm golden. ^_^

I'm working hard and slowly getting things done. I had to rip apart my Cassandra shirt halfway through the day and start over again. It's looking a lot better then it was earlier but stress and being tired convinced me to go to bed after I sewed up where the zipper is suppose to go.
I have so much to do before Sakuracon it's not funny. I think if I can get the shirt done by tomorrow and if the skirt only takes a day the rest will be smooth sailing.

so its not really a cosplay but it is related... last night i started crocheting a zubat. and i was working on the wings and i gave me ideas for the real wings for my cosplay. all i need is a bunch of thick wire, a heap of electrical tape and some sort of fabricy stuffs.

i also drew the layout for my zubat gijinka and i figured out all i need to do/get for it. now alls i have to do is wait for next weekend so i can get enough allowance and take a trip to joanns! >.<

Miria is 100% for Sakuracon now.

White Mages staff is getting gesso'd thanks to boyfriend.
Cassandras shield is getting gesso'd as well, the sword has been sanded, the greek has been written on it and the sculpty bits are made, the shirt buttons are almost done and I'm thinking about starting the collar soon.

Work, work, work.

BAW I had to drop Cassandra until Kumoricon >: I have to figure out what I'm doing for my extra day at Sakuracon now.

I loved how people were like "what are you sewing?" and I'm "pants." -still intently sewing. XD They didn't know what to do after that.

But now I can officially say I am 99.9 percent done with one cosplay(I just need to get the wig in the mail)

then it's 3 more to finish. >_> at least I'm more then half way done with all of them.

Boogie, you realize that white undergarments can be seen through a white dress if the fabric is even just barely thin enough, right? It makes the white of the dress a brighter shade of white than the rest of the dress, which is over the body and therefore has a fleshy tone under it. Fleshy tone undergarments, on the other hand, make the entire dress match itself.

I considered cosplaying Namine once. I showed my mom the design and this is exactly what she told me. : D just thought you ought to know!

woot! i just went a bunch of places, and i got pants and a shirt for mikuo and looked at patterns for my other cosplays. I also got turqoise bias tape and fabric(for the tye)

All i have left to do for mikuo is modify the shirt and pants, buy a wig, find shoes, make the arm things, and make the headphones...gosh that actually sounds like alot now that i list it, but the first 4 things will be easy.

Finished my staff and my boyfriends for Black and White Mage and finished his vest for Issac!
Neither of us are pleased with the heads of our staffs so we're going to be ripping them off and redoing them before Kumoricon. Now I need to start working on the brim of his hat, which looks really awkward at the moment...I hope it turns out well! Making hat's definatly isn't my strong point.

My boyfriends Black Mage hat turned out great. Unfortunately, I have nothing but a webcam at the moment so all I have is crappy grainy pictures.

Before the hat was in near completion...

Just an idea of how big the brim is on me...
The brim is also adjustable from wires and stuff I stuck in it.

and here is it almost finished, I just have to add a strip of colored fabric around the base to cover up where I glued the fabric at.

Just a few more small things and I'm set for Sakuracon!

EDIT Also this was my first time even attempting at making a hat. I'm really friggin' proud of myself.

*looks away in shame* no, I ended up buying it cause I noticed there were lots of details that I might not be able to do myself.

Idk really, probably whenever my friend decides to do Bakura. I cosplay for fun as my hobby; I love to sew, so I have around 20ish cosplays though I've only been cosplaying for 2? years. I'm not good at much else, just mediocre.

I think for kcon09 I'll go as Neliel, Sena, and Anise (finished making it feb. '08, but the group I was going w/ died)...at various photoshoots I may pull out yuuki, haku, my universal bleach vice-captain (yachiru, hinamori, or nanao)

it's always under consideration...at the moment all 4 of my WIP's are almost done...I just don't like going alone, perhaps if there's a group? Plus there's never enough days

I just need to hem marik's shirt and style the wig some more. Sena's hair needs more astro boy gravity-defyingness, somehow.... Nel--need to hot glue the tsuba on gamuza, which snapped, and add paperclay layer to mask. Yako--need to hot glue her hair clips (I really need to get my own hot glue gun)

One cosplay is completely out of the way.....FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I never want to wear it again...but I will keep it for sentimental value and also because I'll probably use some of the pieces from it for something else.

And now onto Blair. her costume is so evil it's not even funny. >_>
