-Finding/getting wigs (for Kallen, Meiko, Hikaru, 2 secret ones)

I've picked my cosplays, and I have the wigs, and hair dye. I started on my Renge costume, but it's really hard! (I have the fabric, and stared sewing, already pricked myself 6 times)

Unproductive weekend has been terribly unproductive. Cleaning did happen, though, and craft desk has completed the transformation from paint table to sewing table. Christmas obi is mostly done -- needs eyelets up the back and I'll probably tack the obi-jime down onto it. If I can stay awake long enough, I'll tackle ironing the denim which may or may not work for my haori. Either way, I need to remember to buy more distilled water for my iron. Did get the haori pattern cut. That took entirely too long somehow. Also found clip-on earring bases for Kaya (can't wear pierced ones) and glued down cabochons onto them. Not sure what I'm going to make the dangles out of -- Wonderflex or Fun Foam, probably, as they are biiiiiig. Went fabric shopping, but declined to pay $8.95 for 45" solid-colour flannel. Stupid hometown and your overpriced fabric!

Still nothing done.
I haven't worked on cosplays in such a long time I almost forgot how to sew o-o JK
But yeah, I have patterns for Akito/Agito jacket's cut out and ribbon and stuff but I haven't done anything but merrow them....
Uh....I haven't even thought about wigs.
I bought a white shirt that I can destroy for Rin cosplay but that's like...it....

This is cleverly masquerading as progress. THIRTY FIVE YARDS of lace for Trinity Blood. Dyeing it was a pain in the behind, ironing it was even worse -- and I still have to make miles of bias tape out of the sateen that got dyed simultaneously. Not sure how much of it will get used, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. (Handsewing it on will take eons, though, so early is probably good. Now I just need to get that petticoat put together so I can start stabbing my fingers ...)

I also have ruffly hoops. This makes me happy.

starting work on my Shadow cosplay soon as the first one to really get serios about.... If anyone knows where I can get a body suite thats all black I would be seriosly greatfull.

I'm not sure where you can buy a black bodysuit, but here's a site that has free patterns for making a catsuit.

Well I plan on working a little bit more on my Christmas Costume tonight. I'm going to get the shirt done but the other two things I'll do once I get back home after the term is over ^_^

cat suit will probelly have to do :3 whats going to be really hard though is i'm going to make the fingers long like a shadows, and the feet, so it will be kinda hard to grasp things x.x

*points to sig* numbers have definitely gone up. and not just because I actually sat down and counted down in percentage how much each piece of the costume was worth. XD thanksgiving break seriously got me fired up and started. but I need to lose more weight before I can do too much further. :/

Alright I got the shirt for Christmas Albel all sewed up. Now I just need to add trim to it. I also know what boots I'm going to wear....they are a little girly (seeing how I am a girl and all XD ) but they will work perfectly for the costume (there is lots of fur on it, and the boots have fur too

)

yeah you just have to have a friend. It's hard for me to do things with the claw for Albel but I always have someone around to help me

Meiko - Dana's commissioning it for me and I should be getting the wig tomorrow

My sister, upon seeing this photo, asks me if I'm making a wedding dress.

It feels like it sometimes. Too much white fabric. *dies* But I have almost all of the underpinnings for Kaya done, and a hemming minion lined up for the coming weekend, so I get to start on stuff that'll get seen now. Hurrah!

well now since I'm going to s-con I have added on a few more cosplays. my progress is...staggering to say the least. and I can't work on them until after break when I have more time and I can start spending money again. and all my time is devoted to the holiday season as well. but I still get a few moments in for my costumes. ;3

oh. well I think it'll probably grow a bit by ku-con. enough to put it in pigtails at least. perhaps not the longest of long but it'll still work. but you can get a wig if you want. what ever seems easiest.

I finnaly got the heart for my Sasori torso out (It got stuck >.<)
And late on im gonna put in shoulder pad material so the metal doesnt rip up my shoulders. ;3;

for kumoricon '09 i am going to be Itachi, Light, and Yuuki.

Itachi i need basically everything except for the headband. lol

Light i have the wig on its way and i have the death note. all i need is the outfit. and my friend is making black wings for light along with white wings for her L. :3

for Yuuki all i need is the wig, which is on its way. other than that i am set! ^w^

oh! and i have the dress i'm wearing to the masquerade as well! ^w^ i just need a mask. lol

I need black pants, a blue dress, a blonde wig, a blue wig, ninja shoes, a green swimsuit, a pink wig, a blue forehead jewel, leg warmers, robotic headphone things(making those myself), a ring, a makeshift butterfly prop, lucia's jewelery, an orange obi wrap, wooden sandals, tons of other random things to make aigis' body, and a flat stomach. :/

So the last couple of days I totally managed to procure the elusive thing known as 'progress' on Angeal. I've now got a SOLDIER belt and the suspender pads, and the straps will be done as soon as I get more brown thread.

I have ten days in which to make myself the entire base of a Trinity Blood habit (skirt, dress, sleeves -- SCREW YOU, THORES -- 'bib', and wimple) with the bias binding stitched down (at least the machine work -- I know there's no way I'll get all the handstitching done), finish painting the boots, make the collar armour, hem my petticoat, and do up the rosary and earrings. I work six of those days for a minimum of eight hours.

I am so doomed. *cries*

I believe today I might start on all my cosplays today. But for some reason the universe doesn't want me to to use a sewing machine. every time I try to use one some sort of problem comes up so that I can't. :/ well thank god I'm good and fast at hand sewing.

I just learned how to Rouche.

Better yet, there's a setting on my sewing machine for it. S**t is SO cash.

Maria's bustier is being mocked up. After that I start on making my bridal slip ride a little higher on my hips. Once that's done I can start the upper part of her skirt. Once THAT'S done I'll probably goof off for no reason until a month before Sakuracon and then start screaming because I've just realized that I haven't finished the bottom of the skirt or the slip cover.

I have thread for Angeal. I haven't done anything with it yet.

I finally have some progress to show.

I'm pretty proud of myself. This is the first thing I've made with 0% help from anyone. I even modified the pattern all by myself.

Cape is 99.9% done. I just need to tack the bottom of the hood to the very top of the cape part so I can hide my boo-boo's. Now it's time to start on the dress.

THORES will be the death of me. Swear to ~~bling~~god.

Pattern drafted most of yesterday and part of this morning, with panicked sidelines for realising I don't have enough fabric for my blasted underskirt (okay for now) and thinking I didn't have enough twill (at eleven and a half yards and 60" wide?). I have plenty of twill.

Sewing the body of the habit now. It'll be the first thing I've ever really lined (the corset for this doesn't count). That'll be interesting .... If I can get the habit done today, though, I should be okay. I hope.

Who needs sleep, anyway? *zooms back to sewing*
