I'm going to be finishing up my head leaf and hopefully start on my dress. The pattern I'm using for Victreebel is the same I used for my White Mage dress so I'm hoping that I can be at least half or completely finished with the construction of the dress by tonight.

Tidus need too many updates to take -shakes fist at bought cosplay- blast it all.
I've heard a ton of people are making Gijinkas this year. I cant wait to see them.

Thank you Fry's....Mana Potions and Health Potions! I plan to bring a couple of each for the Mock-Battle.

Or if I feel real inventive, find a more fitting durable bottle and color some liquid myself.

Yeah, I usually scope antique stores or Goodwill for bottles, but haven't found anything particularly nice yet. I don't want to use glass either, so that rules out a lot.

The costume looks really good, Nikki. You did a great job on that wig, really matches the tint of the costume and looks like they came together.

That's binding under the top, right? How is that going to play out when you wear the costume during Kumoricon? (I mean, is it going to be like that or are you going to tuck it up or hide it or something?)

Definitely looks good though. Will certainly be a killer to see in person (or with magic effects coming from your fingertips in video, haha).

Alright, well if you get any ideas and need someone to take pictures of you, I would be glad to help you out.

And if you ask me, places with lots of tree roots, forested areas (like the Iifa Tree) could be great settings. Not that I can think of anything like that off the top of my head, heh.

The park I live in front of has some spots like that. I'll check it out sometime.

XD really? I couldn't tell. my mom might take me back up to joanns for supplys. She said that tulle would be the least messy xD I always make a mess when hot gluing foam together.

Didn't get as much done as I wanted to today but it was a start. I got some really nice fabric in exchange for the stuff I ended up returning. I managed to get my head leaf 80% done. I just need to add the little leaf at the end of the vine and to paint the top of the leaf. I also got all of my fabric washed, cut out, penciled on the lines, and started catching the edges of all of my pieces. Only problem was the darker it got outside, the harder it was to see the lines on the fabric. Yellow on yellow isn't a good idea, I ended up getting some runs in the fabric because I was dumb. I have some extra to re-cut out the front of my dress though, hopefully I have it put together by tomorrow.

*story copied from original post in pkmn thread because it's kinda funny* Oh man, when I stepped out of the bathroom with it on our dog BARKED at me like I was a stranger (who suddenly appeared in the middle of the house). HE DIDN'T RECOGNIZE ME. And then once everyone stopped rolling on the floor in laughter I was able to talk to him and he got soooo confused. Pobre perrito was confused why the weirdo with the super bright hair was talking like Ren who has dark hair. Even as I was petting him he wouldn't look at me, took him a while to get used to it, then I took it off and showed him it wasn't a part of me. >>; I don't think I'll be wearing that wig around the house much, I don't favor getting bitten.

^^ Thank yoooooou everyone~! I am so happy with it and it has made me extremely excited about working on my cosplay (which got a little fizzled out this past week while I was dealing with paying for school in the Fall. School, you squish everything. x_X)

Boogie, we should totally be pokemon fang buddies! XD I've had them for a long time now so it was a perk that Bulbasaur has little sharp teeth - I adore those fangs, they make dreams come true. (No seriously, I wanted large canines as a child, hehe)

Hurm, I'm almost done with my jacket for Valor form Sora, I just need to go buy some black pants and red fabric to start on the pants, and a wiiig.

I also want to remake Naminés dress, but I don't think I'll have time to. Also wig, needs one, ugh.
