Fabric glue. Even better, Mighty Mend-It. They stock Fabritac (a fabric glue) and Joanns and Wal-Mart, and Mighty Mend-It at Rite-Aid. Fabritac doesn't bond to everything, though, including really synthetic things like backpacks. Mighty mend-It, however, is strong enough to hold a parachute together.

Thank you, Richie! I'm gonna try to pick up some Mighty MendiIt tomorrow now. The vest is polyester, so hopefully it will work. Thanks again for the help. You're a lifesaver!

They show the most recent uploads and it cycles through them, so before it changes I upload some more so I get on it again

And thanks for the encouragement, I get so anxious if anything goes wrong with my costumes, and then all I want to do is fix it. I won't have time today, since I have to go to class, so I'm just very anxious to get the problem solved.

I just got back from my dad's place and Home Depot, and I got so much stuff for Engineer!

I got my hard hat, the most important thing. I also got my yellow rope, and knee pads. I got black knee pads, so I need to paint them yellow.
And then from my dad, I got my tool belt and glove. I need to put some silver duct tape on the glove, then I'm done with that.
The only thing I still need to buy are these goggles. German welding goggles, apparently.

And I need to screen print the logo onto my shirt. I think that, instead of actual screen printing, I'll use an iron-on thing.

So close... Yet so far D:

And I'm playing around with the idea of a Bumblebee humanization, though It's not looking too great at the moment. Probably won't do it.

Bought some fake boobs from Joanns

But the box said they had cancer, that worries me a bit.
But holy crap I look more Victreebel size with tape, those, and some makeup. It freaks me out a bit, and it's uncomfortable. I'm defiantly only going to do that for cosplay.

Today was wig day for me XD I transformed my Franken Fran wig into a new Sanji wig

AND THEN WHEN I WENT DOWN STAIRS I SAW MY MAETEL WIG HAD CAME AND SHAT BRICKS.

UNF UNF UNF. This wig is so beautiful I never want to take it off ;__; It makes me feel like a beautiful space traveler robot princess who wears a silly russian hat and has a fetish for small boys. I only did a small amount of styling (cutting bangs and trimming the sides) I'll be doing some more to make the face curls really stand out :3

Ah! You look so great Dorthy! You Matel is amazing so far. I even just went and grabbed my boyfriend so he could see and he said it great too. I can't wait to see this at con, my boyfriend and I will fanboy/girl hard over this. Your cosplays are always so amazing~

side note: boogie... why do the Joann's, um, fake boobs say they had cancer? That doesn't seem like a good thing to have in a product. o_O;;;

I have no idea D: The box said "Contains ingredients that are known to cause cancer in the state of California". Not cool but I'm not prepared to spend $60 dollars on non-cancer ones. They seem safe enough though. They have like this plastic outer coating that ,hopefully, will keep my skin cancer free. And it's not like I'm planning to wear them everyday.

As my side note my wig is washed and smells like nice. I should make some food now.

But yeeeaah... not very reassuring to hear that something that goes there can cause cancer. x_x;

The underpinnings are basically what's going to keep the entire dress together and in the multi-layered shape that I need it to be. And the entire thing is that tall because ~~I'm really that tall~~ my dressform was adjusted to my 6' height and then I put it on a stool that's the same height as the stilts I'll be wearing under the skirt. For a reference, I won't be as tall as I want to be but THIS is what I'm shooting for. My Cross Marian will actually come up to about where she's supposed to on me, which is about my hip, so we're all good.

Oh, and I'm making the tall one with the butterfly on her face. In case you cant tell, lol~

And eeeeeeeeew, cancer in the state of California? Splendid. Good thing you're not giving them daily use, then.

Nichole: Your photos are always amazing. I can't believe Devin doesn't spend more of her time professionally photographing at the con.

Richie: That is the most beautiful cosplay dress I've ever seen, and it's not even done yet. I can't wait to see the final product. You're a winner!

Pencil: You're cosplaying Matel? I will officially swoon at your presence, because I friggin' LOVE Galaxy Express 999!! And the wig and hat look fantastic so far.

I made no progress today, didn't have time, but perhaps tomorrow (although I doubt it since Kahlan and I will be going to Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy concert up in Seattle in the afternoon).

GAH! Missing one god damn piece of boning! I don't know where it went. Sad days. I really should get to bed though. Everything is fitted now, I just need to get the last piece of boning into the facing and then attach it all/hem. I think I'll jip out of the gathering I'm going to tomorrow so I can come home and get that and my teeth/lip done so I can start painting the spots. My friend wants me to have my head leaf and dress for her party on Saturday. I hope I can get at least that done!

Also increased chest size pictures for those who wanted them.

My chest enhancers also make good FLYEYES

It really helps that she knows the characters that she is photographing. That way she can put them in fitting poses and in good locations such as those.

Yeah, that sounds like a really great quality to have in a photographer. I would kind of hate to be working with a photographer who didn't know a thing about what I was from or what my character was like - it would put too much pressure on me, and I'm not that creative, lol
