Today I got the email with the tracking number for my contacts which means just 4-6 days (if all goes well) to wait - yay! Other than that there's been lots of pinning/sewing and that's basically all the progress I have today for 2009. 2010 got something in the mail as well so that was pretty cool. =)

Who are you cosplaying?

I think it's worth a shot at the very least. I would try that with some cheap fabric first. You might be able to find some sort of tutorial on instructables.com or perhaps even a period clothing tutorial site. There's got to be something.

I would imagine making a mask that looked like flames would be cool.

As for my costume it is going to be the wig, a button up shirt and some slacks. I might add a tie to it but it is going to be very simple.

so I had to cut off two cosplays because of time constraints and budget. so I had to say goodbye to my secret and yatsuha.

and I've been having problems with meg's shirt but I'll try to fix those tomorrow. I have so much to do for the PPG's its not even funny. X_X

I would imagine that the outfit would work just fine. I know that at Sakuracon it is considered formal. That might be a good question to ask the staff.

You know its getting down to it when I can't sleep at night over cosplay. Hahaha. Oh well. I did this with Davy and ended up alright. Nothing like procrastination to get things done!

At the very least, if I can't get the Kusuriuri done, I'll have something else to fall back on.

I just finished Mai, well, I probably need to style the wig more, since it keeps attacking my face -___-*

Soon as I wake up around noon I'll drag myself out of bed and finally do the ruffled edge for Maria's skirt. Then I'll go to Missouri for a week, come back, all my costume stuff will be here and I will continue work on said costumes with the kind of passion that fuels Booster Gold's hatred of Wharf Rats.

Still not looking forward to sewing all those roses on to my bustier.

Well I soaked the jeans in the FADE stuff.... for 20 hours XD And they got pretty light- but not white. Then took the color remover to them for an. Then I meant to dye them in the experimental acid dyes for only an hour or two and they kinda sat in there for about 12 hours while I slept XD; I meant to wake up at 10pm and take them out but I obviously didn't hear my celly go off.

Anyhow. I rinsed a good 80-90% of the excess dye out, then dunked them in RIT scarlet dye for another two hours and then just got done rinsing them and since we don't have a dryer I'm just letting them hang on the shower pole until friday when I plan to take them to the laundromat & dry them in a dryer there while I do my laundry xD

Here's what they look like right now. A tad blotchy, but I couldn't really fix that x_x; Not without another box of FADE and it was obvious that a good 20 hours in the fade they wouldn't change much more.

Love the masks so far~ ^_^
And yeah, uniforms should work. Formal-type costumes usually pass to be able to get into the dance.

Also, sage for unrelated, but me and my dad just collaborated to get him an orange Autobot decal for his semi truck. It'll be so cool when it's on the truck, oh man oh man oh man~

Me and Colleen made masks these past couple days. We're doing Code Geass, Colleen's Cornelia, I'm Kallen, and Shay's Euphie. They're mostly done but we still need to fix 'em up a bit.

Colleen's is zebra-y and fabulously purple. Colleen and Shay both have white pipe cleaners because they're the "good guys" but Colleen's also has a black one because Cornelia's virtues can be ambiguous at times~

Shay's is pink and we put her white feathers on the sides to look like angel wings~

Mine is red and has a ton of black feathers at the top that you can't really see. Black/red pipe cleaners because she's on the Black Knight's side. AND DON'T FORGET ALL THE GOLD HOT GLUE SWIRLIES AND THE HEART~

I'm diggin how spiky my wig is right now, I hope it stays like this for the con!

Out in Salem, on the way to the Enchanted Forest, there's a rock query or something that has a dump truck near the gate with a Decepticon logo painted on the side of it. Now you know where you dad can bring his truck for battlez.

Yep. That dump truck has actually been there on that hill since before I was born, but within the last five years it got painted green and then in 2007 when the first Transformers movie came out someone realized that there's actually a green dump truck in the Decepticon ranks and put the logo up there.

I love that truck.

I'm so close to finishing Jasdero! I just got red for his headband, finished his pants, and got fur for his boots! I'm so excited. I just need some gold rings and a ball thing and I'll be golden. Meg is well....being held off for a day or two. She's pissing me off right now; MAJORLY. >_<

Aside from the masks I made some other cosplay progress~

+ Got fake white roses for Amane
+ Got school shoes for all my cosplay with uniforms (Amane, Itsuko, Rose, and maybe Keiichi)
+ Got sticks for SOS dan sign for Itsuko
+ Got glow sticks for raves

Now all I need to do is:

- Color SOS sign and glue it to the sticks
- Borrow Maddy's black stockings for uniformed cosplay
- Find proper boots for Meiko
- Get arm warmer things for Meiko
- Spray paint Maddy's bat silver for Keiichi
- Get belt for Keiichi
- Get/borrow black slacks for Keiichi
- Fix red stockings for Kallen's masquerade attire
- Finish styling Amane wig
- Make bow for Amane

And that's it! It might look daunting in list form but that's really not all that much and it's just for props and accesories. I'm ready for Kcon~<3

*Get paid on the 5th
*Pre-reg (Gotta pay for me and my bf, just found out he's coming all 3 days yay!)
*Get my wiggies from friend <3
*Style them (I have to sew in wefts to Glaceon :3 )
*order the rest of my costumes and pray they come in time <3
*Get some white loafers for Glaceon, Komori-chan and Kiku~
*Find some Swimtrunks for my bf to cosplay Taito Swimsuit ver.

as for me, I sadly had to order my stuff so that way I can at least look decent. I got the outfit ordered, along with his boken (because Gintoki is awesome like that and doesn't need a Katana) I ordered a wig that look's a lot like his hair, and I already have the boot's surprisingly. If I can't get the outfit in time, I will go as my bounty hunter, who wears the same boot's, black pant's, a black vest, a trench coat and a cowboy hat. I have a katana at home that I can use, and I can bring the bow I have.

Made a lot of progress on my Leafeon Gijinka cosplay yesterday. Got my dress, green hair piece, fake nails, and eyelashes... finished my mask for the dance too. Normally I procrastinate way worse than this so I'm pretty happy.

I just got back from Target and I have some great news. They have compression shirts there, and they are actually for women. Most of them slim down your stomach and make your boobs look bigger but this one actually flattens everything. I am quite happy. Its 20, and it works just as well as about three sports bras, so I am hoping if I wear a sports bra under it it will flatten me out more

any ways, went to wal mart today. got a lot of ****. spend like 150 ish. yup. got a camera, material for ryofus jacket, buttons, thread, a pattern for the jacket, and FAKE BOOBS for ryofu. tested them out, works like magic lol. gonna start sewing the jacket in 3 weeks. gonna work on mistys shirt for my friend next weekned sooo excited! man sunday i get to work on my trident thanx to shanime_panda, woohoo! cant wait!

Wow I never thought a body form would work....

Little image of my Soul wig & it's headband. I wanted to see how annoying it'd be to get the dang thing on xD Not too terrible thankfully. But it did take me 10min by myself. I'll have to have someone put it on me I guess if I wear it to the con =3

I also found a bunch BUNCH of yellow fabric that could work for his casual jacket. I -just- might be able to wear both versions of Soul ! XD
