Good luck, doofer! Ganbatteyo!

I'll need luck of my own. Haha. I thought I had this pattern out perfectly, but there's a massive gap between colors on my sleeves. I think I can fix it, but it means I'll have to go to the fabric store and buy more green. :< Oh well, at least I have an easy fix.

Or perhaps even easier than I thought previously. Hmmm.

So, I would, of course do this SO late in the process with, *checks phone* only 30 days to go, but I need to figure out how the hell to build my Domo costume, and I would like a CAD program to make it all work out. Does anyone know where I can get a good CAD program, preferably free?

I need to get textile medium so that I can paint on the lobster and other details, haha. Ugh, I really need to get better about ironing my things XD

Pencil - I'll try it when I get a free minute later this week.
As for the Lobster on Link, you could make & cut out it's design on thick waxed construction paper, put it down and take white fabric paint to it =3

It's depressing that the hardest part for Kumoricon costumes has been trying to make my boyfriend sit down with me to talk about what I have to make for him. Silly boys, always wanting to sleep and such. I'm taking on a few smaller projects for other people now (Friends just love it when you can sew.)

I've got my boyfriend Prof. Oak to do, mostly it's just him going out and buying the things that we need. I'm probably going to have to dye the shirt for the costume, then everything else is styling the wig and making a Pokeball. I might have to make a Pokedex but my old roomie said she might have one we can borrow. I hope she finds it, less work for me if she does.

Then I have to make Jacuzzi from our Baccano! group a new vest. He's been wearing one that doesn't even look like his for the past couple cons. I thought I would be a nice bestie and make him one.

Finally, the old roomie I spoke about before wants to do a Gijinka cosplay as well. She's looking at Pidgey last I heard, so I'd probably be helping her with the shirt, the hat, the wings, and maybe the bag.

Lots of things to do still!

But Pencil, all of your costumes are looking really good so far. I also sent you a facebook message about stuff that you should check >>

And your Soul looks really awesome Vereca, just need to fix up the shoulders and it will be perfect.
Back to class with me though. Keep up the good work guys.

Everyone is getting so much work done, awesome!!!! And that shirt looks soooo comfy, Pencil. =) Think I could borrow your sewing bug so it can bite me too?

... Because I on the other hand have been in a slump. Not much work done the past few days but that will change!!! After I get back from school today I will get something done, I will! Well, that is, if I am awake. *couldn't sleep all night*

Congrats lychee!!! Can't wait to see your sleeve. ^^

And oh my gosh, busy Nikki (boogie) is busy!! And if your old roomie can't find their pokedex I know I have like, the original piece of talking oddity that was brought to us as children of the 90's that I know is in a drawer in my bedroom waiting for it's moment to shine that you could use for the con. =P (Apparently me with no sleep = really long sentence...)

Renge dress is just about half way sewn.
It's not easy, because I'm getting registered as a free-diver, and I don't have time to sew.
I got my Sora wig in, I'm going to go and spike it.
Thank god, now I can have at least a little bit of completion on my Sora cosplay.

You all are so busy! You make me feel guilty for letting Soul's jacket hang at my door for the last few days xD And that poor keyblade just sit there with the dog's chin on it..... XD; If I had a knife, you know not a butter knife, I totally would carve at it by whittling...

Ah but sadly life.. or rather lack of, is on me xD I'm procrastinating on calling a car person to look at my car & get it tuned-up- which I really should do cause I doubt my mom'll let me take her car, cause for whatever reason she doesn't even want to TURN on my car >>; Hmm. Other bit is trying to get my hand on that stupid "The Iliad". Not just any copy of it. Nooooo~ It has to be the right copy x.x So I had get the ISBN from my prof. and all that jazz, and bug the library and I still might not have it to read until Sat-Tuesday - CAUSE they're closed Sun & Monday. *sobs*

I'm done XD; Back to.... looking at the jacket and keyblade not doing anything.

wow you look really pretty with that red wig. That'd be amazing if it was your real hair. :3

Packed all my cosplay needs for my grandparents place. Going to try to work on it mostly in the car so then I have more family/drawing time up there. And swimming time, lake standstill here I come. <3

Also for Rex I just need to get a green shirt, brown pants, and a tan/full on black shirt and then I'll be set. The hat was surprisingly easy to get. XD

Use the got2b freezing spray to get the basic shape and then spiking glue to get the tips done.

Yeah, use the G2B glued freezing hairspray. It works wonders!

When styling wigs you should always use hairspray, because although it can be harder to handle, gel is meant to absorb into real human hair which is what allows it to dry in the style you put it in. But wig fibers are made of plastic so gel won't properly dry. You -can- make it work, but hairspray is a much better for wigs. Unless you get a specialized wig gel, or a human fiber wig :)

@Kawaii - I LOVE that blue wig! It looks great on you~

I've got to figure out how to curl a wig to how I want it. Every tutorial I find is either for spikes for for those really coiled lolita curls.

Anyone know how to make waves? I have straight hair personally, and my maximum styling just involves a brush, a hair tie, and a head band. I'm so not used to this.

Foam curlers, set up with gel, and hold over VERY low heat. Leave overnight and into the next day, once you take out the curlers you should have curls~

You can also do the hot-water straigtening only in reverse, haha. Put in large curlers and put hot water over them, let dry overnight, etc.

I haven't done much in the way of cosplay, just started applique on my link shirt.
And I think I'm going to order a new wig for Haruko *sigh* goodbye money :(

I had the same issue with my kuja wig. What I did was took little sections and twisted them all the way to the base and then poured hot water on it and let it dry. But if you do the foam curler method you will need big curlers.

What I did didn't add a lot of waves but it worked out great for the wig :P

sadly, the problem Im having with my wig is that if you look closely, you can see the scalp on it, which sucks, but I hope it's not that noticeable, and for a little extra precaution, I have hair spray as well, so as to spray my hair to hopefully match the wig so that even if you look, all you'll see is white.

that's true, but id much rather die my hair, because the wig does fit, and I will be trimming my hair down somewhat short so that my hair isn't that noticeable. But I still have spray as a precaution. So that should work. But I did decide to replace the boot's he normally wears with a pair of boot's that I had lying around. They look much cooler and actually fit the character better in my opinion. So when you see me walking around, and notice that my boot's are different, they were on purpose. Here is a picture of him, and a picture of the boot's im using instead of his normal boots.

It's actually a glue, as normal hair gel doesn't work all that well on synthetic hair, as pencil said, since it is supposed to work with your hairs natural oils. I use the glue all the time though.

Need to get my Spitfire wig dyed and cut..ugh. Don't think I'm going to do any new cosplays for Kcon.

I have the material for Botan now, and I also have fabric for corsola.
I'll get started on both today.
I think I'm dropping Sora. I'll do it next year, it's just I haven't started on it, and I'm not sewing skilled enough to do this. I cannot finish it in time. So, I think I'm just going to do Lucas from Mother/Earthbound. I'm just going to cut my hair, put it in a fow-hawk, and buy the rest of the costume. I guess I'm going to have to sew the shirt, but for the rest I'm pretty much already set.
I hope it turns out ok.

Ok, I need some help.
What should I get and do to change a long wig in to a high ponytail?
I know I need wefts, but I need to know how in the name of god I'm going to do this!

Got a wooden broadsword today at the Fair >3
I've got a cosplay planned out now

Hey! Now you can take Italian Long Sword! Well, if you're still going to the school that I did. I forgot.  Either way it was pretty fun. Basic forms and stuff with some mock fighting, (no real fighting), but it was pretty interesting.

All depression has its roots in self-pity, and all self-pity is rooted in people taking themselves too seriously.
