So guys... I still can't find any lavender-colored skirts/shorts or tank tops anywhere for Espeon. I don't know how many department/clothing/thrift stores we've tried. No luck. -.- I guess the colors are just out of season.

Goodwill, and if that doesn't work, find the shirt and leggings you want and buy some purple dye. Maybe that will work? Especially if it's cotton, I'd imagine. I don't know about polyester or elastic.

You can get pollyester dye, but I'm not sure about color.

You've probably tried this, but the Value Village in Tigard is really great. Their shirts are also organized by color.

That Value Village is absolutely wonderful. It's very clean from the many times I've been there (as clean as a Second-hand store can get), and has a large selection. You might be able to find a lavender t-shirt and alter it. There's a great book called "Generation T" that you can buy at JoAnn's or Michaels that has a whole bunch of t-shirt altering ideas in it. Some are kinda skanky, but it's still fun. It's really, really close to the Tigard Joann's, too.

Here's an update on my cosplay. Please don't mind the doofy smile. I kind of look like a creeper >.>

I'm almost done with the bias tape! Almost!

Well, while getting the fabric today, I found a great tunic pattern on B5015 See&Sew. I just gotta adjust the length and the sleeves, and it's perfect!

HELP!! I tried adding waves to my wig by twisting it close to the scalp and pouring hot water over it. It worked well, but as I'm combing out the twists, it's frizzing to holy hades! I don't know what to do.

Pour more hot water on the wig and don't whatever you do, comb it out.

Try restyling it.

Got jigglypuff's hat done. I'll try to post some pictures soon of it. It's so cute. ^3^

And I've gotten one pant leg of meg done. it was very awkward while making it. Making pants that aren't actually pants is weird.

Can you get a picture of the wig? It could be that the water you used was too hot and fried the wig. You could always buy a wig detangler spray and use that on it, it should get rid of some of the frizz.

Well, Dad and I went on another all-out search today. We had a plan and stuck to it. > : D. Feur was right. We tried Value Village again and they had exactly what I needed. So now I have my Espeon top, shorts, and shoes. We even found a red jewel for the forehead at Michael's! I also got an umbrella at Goodwill which my father disembled so that the rounded handle can be my Mio cane~ We picked up some red paint and my Host Club fake rose as well.

Since my friend is working on my Espeon ears and tail in WA, all I need is to order some aquamarine RIT dye online (since no store caries it -.-) and wait for my Haruhi costume and I'll be all set for K-con '09! Today was a very productive day and I hope to put some pictures up soon... After I read manga I've needed to catch up on. ^^;;

That's great! I can't wait to see pics. As for me...today was an almost complete fail....I couldn't find any shoes for Rumia, no tie for Satoko, and no shoes for a cosplay that I might do... *sigh* but I did find pants for the maybe cosplay.

Well, for Rumia I need red mary jane shoes, and for the other one, I need skater shoes, like black ones or white ones. But I think I'm gonna use the ones I have, then use converse for Mikuo. I think I will just make a tie, because its hard finding a white one, too xD

I've started pining and cutting out the pieces for satoko's dress, and I really wanna finish it tonight, because I will be gone during the days for all of next week, so I can only work at evening times...

Gaah! I really need help! where do you guys get your wigs from? like other than cosworx and amphygory. Amphygory said that it would take about 15 bussiness days to get the order processed...and that means it would be shipped on the friday before kcon at the latest...So I need another place...Help?

Soo! I finally have my cosplays DONE!

Zell - had Paper Roxas help me finish the jacket (SeeD Cadet Uniform) Who knew Duct-tape and Pleather looked good together?

Reno - New wig, doing much better! Need to find a better way to take care of the ponytail. (Best way to do that?)

Luxord - this is the only one that is Aaaallmost done. I have to wait for the Jacket and the Beads to come in. Having to order them separately because of order malfunction. So I'm waiting on those to come in, but other than that, I'm going to do a zip on liner and find a way to pin the beads on without ruining the jacket. The Beads don't come attached or have a way to attach. (Suggestions?)

If you live around portland, Wigland is a great place to get wigs. The guy there is very helpfully and that's where I get my wigs.
