Hey KogaRyu, I'd love to see you at the convention dude. If you come in cosplay I'll happily take a picture of you for my blog. What do you say?

Sure. Thinking about maybe putting something together for Thursday Pre-Reg day.

I hope I can go to Sakura-Con... u.u
Why wouldn't you be able to O.O

Transportation. Place to stay. Money.

Transportation = me/Irene/Griff
Place to stay = Someone'll be all: CHARLY! STAY WIF ME!
IDK 'bout money though...  :'(

Money... Everyone from CoaP wins the lotto! Solved! ^^;;;
Really though, If you somehow get $150, I need roomates for Sheraton and I know I could trust you.

I hope it does!
I have so many things to finish, so much to get ready, and not NEARLY enough time O_O

I can go to Sakura-con only if I have at least B's in more than half of my classes this semester.
Then if I have 0 missing work when it rolls around, I get to go!

-takes deep breath-
Wish me luck balancing cosplay with school!

I've had my room reserved and my ticket for a long time now. ^^: but... If I can't find 3 people to pay $150 for 4 nights at the Sheraton then I can't go... ;-;  and do to issues I have to meet them at least 2 times before the con and I need the money the second time we meet. makes it hard to find a roommate. but they save $50 with me, it would be $200 each person for four nights for 4 people, but I am paying $350 so the others only have to pay $150. Also, I always give goody bags to my roommates when I have the room in my name. So pluses... yet still hard as hell to find roommates.

So we have a skit for s-con completely written out. We just need to record it and practice it a bit then we'll be good to go. Room is a go, ride is being discussed, and cosplays are being worked on. The only thing that really need's to be done at this point is registration.

Ok I spent a few stressful hours last night working out all the details for the hotel and what not and I also found out today that the method the convention is using (booking rooms through a different site then booking them at the hotel) means that at the moment the rooms aren't booked (well they are but the hotels have no record at the moment) until a week or so before the con. I'm not too sure if I like this new system or not.

Also I was kinda curious if what our people are paying is about average. Sadly for the moment we are thinking about parking in the hotel which is raising the cost quite a bit seeing how we will have two cars x.x But each person will be paying about 135, that includes parking and gas.

I guess the question comes down to, does anyone know where cheap parking is that isn't 39 a night x.x

Parking in Seattle is always kinda crappy...I always just used the valet at whatever hotel I stay at for con. There are some parking garages a couple blocks from the Sheraton though...I can't for the life of me remember what street they are on but I know that they are cheaper. I spend a lot of time in Seattle because I have friends & family up there...but when I visit I usually just find a spot to park on capitol hill & just bus or walk everywhere lol.

A couple years ago when I stayed at the Sheraton I parked in their designated parking spaces, but did not use the valet. That put me at about $24 or so a day, which is average for parking in a garage all day. The parking garage is located right across the street from the hotel. Plus if you car pool get all of the passengers to spilt the cost.

I don't know if they have anything that isn't valet....at least I haven't seen anything. Yeah the cost really isn't too bad....its about 30 per person.

Parking was 25 at the hotel I stayed at last year. They are upping it to 30 this year. That's at the Roosevelt. I've had no problems with them and they were easy to handel while booking this year's.

My biggest issue with Sakuracon (and it's not even an issue with the con) is the lack of 24-hour (in particular, 3am) food options.  Last year I got out of a dance tired, hungry, and sore and couldn't do anything about any of those three problems until staff preservation opened three hours later.  The lack of night life really kills Seattle for me.  My hours of operation are 3pm to 6am, so it's not really my kind of city, but other than that it's alright.

If you head up Pike to about a block beyond the Homewood Suites, the McMenamins Six Arms is open until 2am. If you trek all the way to Broadway and go north on it half a block, Pita Pit is open until 3am. I know, a bit of a walk, but it's something.
