Is anybody leaving Portland to head to Sakuracon that has an extra seat available? I am pre-registered and everything, but haven't got a way up there yet! Help! haha

My costumes won't be done in time, so I will be wearing partially done costumes. It makes me so sad, but procrastination finally killed me this time. Hopefully I don't get any strange looks from people because it's not a complete outfit to the character. Now I'm really nervous, not excited.

Plus lots of running around to do, will I be ready in time? I guess I will just have to be.

So the weather over the mountain is horrible right now...& they are putting traction tire & chain restrictions for travelers. Looks like that is gonna be another $600 out of my pocket to throw some winter tires on my car

Day after tomorrow. The weather that I saw on my confirmation for my hotel said that it was going to be sunny Thursday, raining Friday and showers Saturday and Sunday.

I live in Central Oregon though...so there is a mountain covered in snow blocking my way lol. Think I am going to make my drive 7.5 hrs & head east a bit so I can come up to I-84 through Biggs...I don't want to spend that much on tires.

One of the advantages of living in the Portland area is between Seattle and Portland it's a 4 hour drive and I have the advantage of having a retired professional bus driver in my stepfather to drive me up there. Being legally blind it's a great way to get to Seattle. And Chris my good fellow I hope you can still make it my friend. I WILL be at the meet-up i can assure you.

Yeah that is one nice thing about Portland. Also we are going to be stopping at mrs Beasley's on the way up (I think it is exit 59 or so). And I will have stuff written on my car XD So keep an eye out for a blue acura rsx with stuff written on the windows

Well I am a good driver & great at navigating so I will be there no matter what. What sucks is that the 5.5-6hr drive it usually takes me to get to Seattle is going to be about 7-7.5hrs now. That will take me around the snow storm with only a little ice to deal with...just adds about 1.5 hrs to my trip. There is nothing that can keep me from going though, so no worries there

I have to pick up a friend from Seattle Airport around 5 & I want to be checked in & maybe get my badge before that. So chances are I am leaving here around 7-8am, maybe earlier than that depending weather & what-not.

Probably end up doing a number of things, hit up the international district, pre-reg line, Gameworks, Sheraton pool.

Gameworks on Thursday nights is $11 unlimited play.

Wow!

What an exciting convention! It was so nice to see all the fun faces I recognized from staff
events and from the panels and Kumoricon! It was so much fun to play with the big kids in
Seattle!

For me and my group (or was I in THEIR group?

) it was a total blast and everything ran so
smoothly! I'm really proud of the Reg Team, Programming, Logistics, Dealers Hall/Artists Alley,
Gaming and basically everyone at ANCEA. They really put on a great show and gave me excellent
insight!

Now lets all let Stark and the team get a few good nights rest...

I'd like to take this oppurtunity to thank Cyprus, those from Central Oregon, and the Portland area for letting me be a part of the Wing Dome. It was real fun, and I hope to see all of you at Kumoricon.
