tofutakeout, the orginizations that control what can be put in a webpage are these the
ISOC, IETF, IAB, and of course the
W3C. The W3C being the main one for standardization of code in web pages. Their biggest concern currently is making web designers use CSS as much as possible to make code smaller and more compliant with hand held devices that download from the net like cell-phones, IPODS, and PDA's, and standardizing code for the WAI, so people with special needs can use the web easily. They are also responsible for IPv6. The newest internet protocol that will be replacing IPv4. IPv6 uses 128 bit addresses so that there will be 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,347,607,431,768,211,456 addresses on the web as apposed to the 4 billion or so we have now. I suppose that might be considered an improvement. Can anyone even tell me what that number is called? GAH! Anyway everyone will have enough address, so their IPOD, cell-phone, car, computer, other computer, game system, coffe maker, and toaster. will each have one.
