i just feel like putting it here today. anyways back to the topic.
For Christmas i will most likely get the gaming system i want. but i don't know which i want.
Wii, Xbox360, and/or Playstation 3
I've narrowed it down to a Wii or Xbox 360

Wii has Fire Emblem, Brawl, Mario Kart
Xbox has Dead or Alive, Guilty Gear, Nascar

Both Have Soul Calibur and Rock Band
but Xbox has the better versions of the game.
on that note i was leaning towards the Xbox, but Wii has BRAWL!.. and is gamecube compatable.. but i really want soul calibur 4..
and i really want rock back. and if i got it should i get rock band 1 or 2??
i know rock band for wii does not let you have costum characters does rock band 2 for wii allow for the custum charaters?

don't forget you also want wii so you and I can play ourselves. XD either one to me would be awesome for you to have because then I could come over and play on them. :3

Xbox 360 all the way!!! Best overall gaming system out, and it has more Rpgs then you can shake a stick at. Wii is good for entertaining groups of people but it is overall geared more towards kids and all ages. Xbox Live is like the best online service out and it has Xboxlive arcade! That and BlazBlue wich is later down the road will not be on Wii. (BlazBlue = GuiltyGear) Overall in my opinion its the best!

The 360 version of rockband is better than the wii version.

Also, if you get rockband 2, you can import all the rockband 1 songs onto the hard drive.

Also, the prices of the 360 just were lowered. PS3 is harder to program, so likely all the multi-console games will be coming out on 360 first.

That being said, I have a Wii and don't regret getting it. But the 360 is just a better peice of hardware.

based on what I read, thats false. the 360 does not have more RPGs then the other systems. 360 will have star ocean and final fantasy going for it while wii has tales of symphonia 2, fragile, muramasa(from makers of odin sphere) and couple of other unique RPGs.
according to RPGamer, all 3 next gen systems are equal in terms of number of RPGs(roughly). DS is the system that has more RPGs you can shake a stick at.

I should note that BlazBlue is arcade only atm from what I heard.

for rock band/guiter hero, its hard to say as there is bit low on the info side for the rock band 2 of wii. rock band 2 on wii won't let you get the songs from rock band 1, but will have downloadable content, but you have to keep it on your flash memory. guiter hero world tour will actually play the song off from your SD card if I'm not mistaken.

as it is, wii is starting to see developers take it more seriously and not treating it like a PS2 with new controls(force unleashed >_>). the motion plus attachment may make their life easier in making decent controls.

I would go with the x-box. It has a huge range of games where it seem like wii games are more child oriented.....Plus ff XIII is coming out for the 360.

Also the wii is difficult to find. You can get the 360 anywhere but the wii runs out really really fast

every one thinks the wii is childist but its not really a lot of the game are made for adults like wii sport and wii fit used to be but now its for every one and i have a lot of m rated game for it .

.....yeah there are some for the wii but almost ALL of the xbox games are for adults where most of the wii games are for kids or preteens, like yourself.

The xbox is a much more mature system with games that are rated M

I mean if you go to a website that sells games you can see that when you look at wii games they are all like mario, sonic, rayman, and rock band. You looks at the games for the xbox it's halo, COD, GTA, Assassins creed, Rock band.

It all depends on what kind of games that you are into. Personally I enjoy the games that come on the 360 much much more. Plus ffXIII is coming out for it XD

i love spyro and some mario games....some.. preferably i like super mario sunshine thats a game cube game which i've proudly defeated.
i don't like guitair hero. frankly i suck at it. i love the drums.

well are vote is not what we like better it what we think what would be better for SageBell and with the info she just gave us i think a wii would be best for her and im not a pre teen and i dont play little kid game the only one that would come close would be havist moon and i like to play game online more

Do note the guiter hero world tour will have drums if thats what you like the play as and its the only one where you can create and download player made tracks.

main downside with rock band 2 for the wii is that you have the wait til december for it to come out.

I admit I'm biased towards the Wii and I'm been feeling rather cynical towards the "hardcore" games.

360 all the way. Xbox live may cost, but if you think about its really cheap. 20$ for 3 months? sweet deal. 50$ for 13 months? sweeter deal. we have Oblivion, better rock band possibilities, final fantasy 11, the new one coming out-Fable 2 (holy crap this game is gonna be awesome, im working my butt off this weekend making the money to get it tuesday), all sorts of first person shooters,the arcade, you can hook your computer up to your xbox and listen to music and watch videos(thats right even anime) on your tv from your computer through your xbox. its more of a mature system, the graphics are waaaaaay better. the variety of games is astonishing. I just got done watching my neighbor totoro from my xbox actually. If you go with xbox there are so many kinds of games you can never get bored. each one looks completely different from the last. plus mean people wont call you a Wiitard. thats a good bonus I must say.

rock band possiblilities...I suppose you're refering to importing the rock band 1 songs & downloadable content.

I don't believe she cares much for FPS if I'm not misunderstanding what she said. Either way, a lot of FPS nowadays are trying to be like Halo which is overrated imho.

I vote for Wii. My brother has an xBox 360, so I don't get to play it a lot. But, from what I've seen, the graphics are good, but , I personally prefer the Wii. A friend of mine has it, and whenever I go over to her house, that's all I do. And Brawl looks wicked.

I believe zelda falls under action adventure. 360 has them but they tend to focus more on the action then the adventure I believe. Devil May Cry 4 is one example where they focus on the action purely.

I mentioned fighting games, I dunno about what racing games 360 has so you'll have to ask the 360 fans on that. Wii does have Mario Kart at least.

For consideration, some shooting games on the Wii may work out better for you. just be careful as FPS have been a hit and miss on Wii due to controls. Currently, Metroid Prime 3 and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 have the best Wii FPS controls. Metroid Prime does have a lock on so that helps in aiming in the right direction while Medal of Honor lets your customize the controls extently.
Also note, the Wii verison of Twilight Princess does have you aiming the bow & arrow like a FPS in a few parts(bascially, whenever you're not locked on)

Also, the Wii, if you're still considering it is more of a party system. If you have siblings that are all into games, then the Wii would be fun, but if not, or you're an only child, the 360 is a much better choice.

I got a 360, and really enjoy it. Mustache is right, the games for the 360 are a lot cheaper then the PS3, and there are generally more titles out that would catch your interest for the 360 then for the PS3.

It wouldn't surprise me if there isn't new rev of 360. For the first x-box they changed out the processors to ibm ones and tweaked the PSU so it wouldn't be a fire hazard. History repeats itself.
