Okay, Suzaku Kururugi was born to the Prime Minister of Japan, who he later ended up killing. Suzaku joined the Britannian army in order to show that Japan had no plans of striking out against Britannia. Before this, Zero and Suzaku had been friends as children, but they both felt something special towards each other, however, as they later became enemies they couldn't be together! However, neither knowing each other's identity until a fateful day in the Shinjuku ghettos, Zero had to keep his identity a secret from Suzaku, his one true love. But Suzaku suffered from his past mistakes and considered taking refrain at one point. The refrain was being taken to remember lost times, times filled with hope and understanding. Times where it was just Suzaku and Zero, playing together under the hot blazing sun, neither realizing what would happen in the future. THAT was what Suzaku was counting on if he were to take refrain.
