Ok, I've been arguing with sevreal people against the topic is pokemon better than digimon. Personally I think digimon and I could go on foever about why.
so i'd like to hear what you guys think, Let the Battle begin!

I loved Digimon. I thought the story was good and original. Pokemon was good at first but it got bad....where I have liked ALMOST all of Digimon....just not the newest one >_> I liked season 1-4 not 5

I didn't watch pokemon after it left the first 150 >_>

Yeah, see I love Digimon, but I love da Pokemon more 'cuz it was what I grew up with. Not saying I didn't watch Digimon, I did. I just liked Pokemon better.

Well personally, I don't really care for either one. I would give the edge to Pokemon though for these reasons.

1. Without Pokemon, there'd probably be no Digimon.
2. I've never seen a cute Digimon.
3. More episodes, more movies, more products, more games.
4. Team Rocket; they were fun (sometimes).

Really? Well, with how popular Pokemon was way back when, it seems like Digimon didn't even hit the scene until a couple of years later.

ok now I have a serious issue with pokemon. I'm watching it now and Gary is being NICE. He is helping Ash with a pokemone. Helping it get over fears. GARY DOESN'T DO THAT!

Me and my friends had a theory about Gary's sudden nice-ness a long time ago. I can't remember exactly, but it was something like Gary's fangirls captured the mean Gary and kept him captive and the producers of Poke'mon were freaking out because they couldn't find Gary, but the show must go on, so they got a Gary robot but he only came in one setting: nice.

Pokemon. My little brother got way into it and got me hooked. It was cute, it brings back happy memories of when my brother and me were young. (We are 5 years apart)

Digimon's opening theme (The first season I think) use to annoy the crap out of me. All it repeated was "Digimon Digital Mosters, Digimon are the Champions!" At least there was more to sing along to with pokemon.

And you got the Pokerap!!!!!!

(Later I did watch a lot of Digimon and I enjoy the show too, but Pokemon holds a sentimental part of me)

hmm....hard to say. in terms of TV series, I like digimon more. games wise....pokemon I guess. but I may have already been burn out by the games when I started playing a digimon game.

It's close for me but I'd have to say Digimon squeaks by into first. Digimon had more of a plot and character development.

I think I would like Pokemon if it had more of either of those. (500+ episodes and Ash is STILL 10?)

Ya know. I just thought about this earlier. Digimon is just a mix of Pokemon and Sailor Moon.

Pokemon:Trainers with Pokemon that have powers.
+
Sailor Moon:Can transform into different forms and change appearence to fight evil.

= Digimon

I'll agree with both of your statements there, Sporty, but I still think Digimon needs to have cute monsters instead of having them look freaky, ugly or WTF-y.
